P&G CEO "urges" Obama, McCain not to be too gloomy on economy

HONG KONG (MarketWatch) -- Procter & Gamble Chairman and Chief Executive AG Lafley urged U.S. presidential candidates Barack Obama and John McCain not to talk the U.S. into a "worse recession" by being too gloomy about the state of the economy, according to a Financial Times report Thursday. "In my business, we don't need excessive negativism," said Lafley, according to the report. "I am hoping McCain and Obama will be a different dialogue on trade than Clinton and Obama."
