Man Charged With Sex Abuse Of Girl, 9

SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- A 55-year-old Spartanburg County man has been charged with sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl.

According to warrants, Thomas Allen Jones, is charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor under 11 years old.

The warrant says that between January 2007 and January 2008, Jones engaged in sexual battery with the girl.

An incident report said that the 9-year-old victim told investigators of the abuse when she was placed in foster care in January of this year.

Both Jones and the girl's mother tested positive for cocaine and other drugs after the child was placed in protective custody by the Department of Social Services.

According to a story in the Spartanburg Herald-Journal, Jones was acquitted of aggravated assault charges on April 1.

He was found not guilty by jurors of criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature and assault and battery of high and aggravated nature.

The charges stemmed from accusations that he pistol whipped his estranged wife and a 7-year-old girl in April 2007.

Jones was the president of the Spartanburg County chapter of the NAACP from 2002 until 2005.

Governor plans to completely eliminate welfare for families

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is proposing to completely eliminate the state’s welfare program for families, medical insurance for low-income children and Cal Grants cash assistance to college and university students.

The proposals to sharply scale back the assistance that California provides to its neediest residents came in testimony by the administration this afternoon at a joint legislative budget committee hearing. It followed comments by the governor earlier today that he would be withdrawing a proposal to help balance the budget with billions of dollars of borrowing and replacing it with program reductions.

The proposals would completely reshape the state’s social service network, transforming California from one of the country’s most generous states to one of the most tightfisted. The proposals are intended to help close a budget deficit estimated at $21.3 billion.

Obama Is Said to Consider Preventive Detention Plan

WASHINGTON — President Obama told human rights advocates at the White House on Wednesday that he was mulling the need for a “preventive detention” system that would establish a legal basis for the United States to incarcerate terrorism suspects who are deemed a threat to national security but cannot be tried, two participants in the private session said.

The discussion, in a 90-minute meeting in the Cabinet Room that included Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. and other top administration officials, came on the eve of a much-anticipated speech Mr. Obama is to give Thursday on a number of thorny national security matters, including his promise to close the detention center at the naval base in Guantánamo Bay, Cuba.

Human rights advocates are growing deeply uneasy with Mr. Obama’s stance on these issues, especially his recent move to block the release of photographs showing abuse of detainees, and his announcement that he is willing to try terrorism suspects in military commissions — a concept he criticized bitterly as a presidential candidate.

The two participants, outsiders who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the session was intended to be off the record, said they left the meeting dismayed.

They said Mr. Obama told them he was thinking about “the long game” — how to establish a legal system that would endure for future presidents. He raised the issue of preventive detention himself, but made clear that he had not made a decision on it. Several senior White House officials did not respond to requests for comment on the outsiders’ accounts.

“He was almost ruminating over the need for statutory change to the laws so that we can deal with individuals who we can’t charge and detain,” one participant said. “We’ve known this is on the horizon for many years, but we were able to hold it off with George Bush. The idea that we might find ourselves fighting with the Obama administration over these powers is really stunning.”

The other participant said Mr. Obama did not seem to be thinking about preventive detention for terrorism suspects now held at Guantánamo Bay, but rather for those captured in the future, in settings other than a legitimate battlefield like Afghanistan. “The issue is,” the participant said, “What are the options left open to a future president?”

Mr. Obama did not specify how he intended to deal with Guantánamo detainees who posed a threat and could not be tried, nor did he share the contents of Thursday’s speech, the participants said.

He will deliver the speech at a site laden with symbolism — the National Archives, home to the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. Across town, his biggest Republican critic, former Vice President Dick Cheney, will deliver a speech at the American Enterprise Institute.

Mr. Cheney and other hawkish critics have sought to portray Mr. Obama as weak on terror, and their argument seems to be catching on with the public. On Tuesday, Senate Democrats, in a clear rebuke to the White House, blocked the $80 million Mr. Obama had requested in financing to close the Guantánamo prison.

The lawmakers say they want a detailed plan before releasing the money; there is deep opposition on Capitol Hill to housing terrorism suspects inside the United States.

“He needs to convince people that he’s got a game plan that will protect us as well as be fair to the detainees,” said Senator Lindsey Graham, Republican of South Carolina, who agrees with Mr. Obama that the prison should be closed. “If he can do that, then we’re back on track. But if he doesn’t make that case, then we’ve lost control of this debate.”

But Mr. Obama will not use the speech to provide the details lawmakers want.

“What it’s not going to be is a prescriptive speech,” said David Axelrod, Mr. Obama’s senior adviser. “The president wants to take some time and put this whole issue in perspective to identify what the challenges are and how he will approach dealing with them.”

SoCal gang members indicted in racist shootings

The investigation of the Varrio Hawaiian Gardens gang began in June 2005 after the murder of Los Angeles County sheriff's Deputy Luis Gerardo "Jerry" Ortiz. Jose Luis Orozco, a member of the gang, was sentenced to death in 2007 for the killing.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A Latino street gang waged a racist campaign to eliminate black people from a Southern California city through attempted murders and other crimes, according to federal racketeering indictments unsealed Thursday.

Five indictments charged a total of 147 members and associates of the Varrio Hawaiian Gardens gang, and federal and local agencies arrested 63 of them by early Thursday, U.S. Attorney Thomas P. O’Brien said at a news conference.

He called it “the largest gang takedown in United States history” but did not elaborate.

The indictments detail attempted murder, kidnapping, firearms, narcotics and other charges related to attacks by the gang, which is predominantly Latino and mainly operates in Hawaiian Gardens, a city of about 15,000 in southeastern Los Angeles County.

“(Varrio Hawaiian Gardens) gang members take pride in their racism and often refer to the VHG Gang as the `Hate Gang,’” the main indictment states. “VHG gang members have expressed a desire to rid the city of Hawaiian Gardens of all African-Americans and have engaged in a systematic effort to achieve that result by perpetrating crimes against African-Americans.”

The indictment alleges a string of attacks on black residents, including a shooting into a home with eight people inside. The indictment does not say if anyone was hit.

In another instance, two gang members allegedly chased a black man, yelled a racist epithet at him and then beat him with a garden rake. The same man was later repeatedly stabbed by two gang members, according to the indictment, which charges them with his attempted murder.

According to 2000 census data, the latest available, Hawaiian Gardens was roughly 73 percent Hispanic and 4 percent black.

The indictments mark at least the second time in less than two years that federal authorities have accused Latino gang members of attacking black residents because of their race. Local officials have tried to downplay racial tensions.

Race Differences, Immigration, And The Twilight of the European Peoples

I want to examine the changing nature of Britishness resulting from the immigration non-Europeans, particularly in the light of IQ differences between immigrants and the native white population. My approach differs from current debates about immigration which are normally concentrated on whether it is good or bad for Britain, and whether we need more of it or less, and not on the quality of the immigrants or their racial identity.

Race And IQ

In my recent review of the research on race differences in intelligence that has been carried out over the last eighty years I have set the British IQ at 100 and shown that other Europeans have the same average IQ, except in the Balkans where it drops to around 93. Outside of Europe, the East Asians (Chinese, Japanese and Koreans) have the highest mean IQ at 105. The South Asians and North Africans have an average IQ of 84, the Caribbeans an IQ of 71, and the blacks of sub-Saharan African an IQ of 67.

These racial IQs appear to be about fifty per cent genetically determined and about fifty per cent environmentally determined. This means that when these peoples migrate to Britain they enter a much better environment, particularly as regards nutrition, health care and education, so their IQs increase by about fifty per cent. Thus the IQs of South Asians and North Africans increase to around 92, while the IQs of Caribbeans and African blacks increase to around 86.

The low IQ of blacks was been understood from everyday observation long before it became established by intelligence tests. For instance, in the eighteenth century David Hume wrote that “I am apt to suspect that Negroes are naturally inferior to whites. There is no ingenious manufacture amongst them, no arts, no sciences”. The first explorers of Africa reached the same conclusion. Mungo Park, who visited west Africa in 1795 and made his way up the Gambia and Niger rivers, noted that the African peoples had no written language and little that could be described as civilisation. He described the Africans as living in “small and incommodious hovels: a circular mud wall about four feet high, upon which is placed a conical roof, composed of bamboo cane, and thatched with grass, forms alike the palace of the king and the hovel of the slave”.

The explanation for these race differences in intelligence that has become widely accepted is that humans evolved in equatorial East Africa. About 100,000 years ago some groups migrated northwards into North Africa and then into Asia and Europe. These groups encountered a more challenging environment in which there were no plant or insect foods for much of the year, so they had to hunt large animals like mammoths to obtain their food. They also had to keep warm and for this they needed to make clothes and shelters. These problems became much greater in the last ice age that began about 28,000 years ago and lasted until about 11,000 years ago. All these challenges required higher intelligence. Only the more intelligent were able to survive in these harsh environments while the less intelligent perished. One result of this was that the brain size of the European and East Asian peoples increased to accommodate the greater intelligence required to overcome these problems.

These racial differences in intelligence are one of the most important reasons for the differences in the wealth and poverty of nations that are present throughout the world (the other main reason being the presence of a market economy or of some form of socialism or communism). Intelligence is a major determinant of competence and earning capacity, so inevitably the European and Far Eastern peoples whose populations are intelligent achieve higher standards of living than other peoples who are less intelligent.

This is often called the North-South divide, consisting of the rich north of Europe, North America and Japan, and the poor south consisting of South Asian, Africa and Latin America, but this is just a euphemism for the rich European and Far Eastern peoples who happen to live mainly in the northern hemisphere and the poor South Asians, Africans and Latin Americans who live in the south. These differences in wealth are largely caused by racial differences in intelligence.

Defense uses race to argue against the death penalty (Christian and Newsom)

Tennessee sends 4.5% of its white murderers to death row and 3.4% of its black murderers. The black post-conviction death sentence rate is thus about 3/4 what you would expect it to be if even with the white sentencing rate.

Defense attorneys for Lemaricus Davidson have signaled their intent to bring race into their legal battle to dismiss the death penalty as a possible sentence for their client.

Death Penalty?

Davidson is one of four defendants accused of carjacking, raping and killing Channon Christian and Chris Newsom in 2007.

All the defendants in the case are facing the death penalty. Attorneys for each of the defendants have previously filed motions regarding capital punishment.

Previously, defense attorneys have filed motions to have Judge Richard Baumgartner declare the death penalty unconstitutional.

Another recent motion filed by different legal teams in the case, is asking the judge to consider the expense of the death penalty which is through lethal injection in Tennessee.

However, a motion filed by David Eldridge and Doug Trant asks the judge to dismiss the death penalty because of racial disproportionality.

The motion states the percentage of white persons to black person in Tennessee is 80.4% to 16.9% and in the United States, 80% to 12.8% according to the U.S. Census Bureau 2008.

The motion includes supporting documentation to indicate that 34% of the people executed in the United States since 1976 (the modern era of the death penalty) have been black.

It also notes that 41.6% of the nation’s death row population is black.

All the defendants are black and the victims were white.

Defense attorney Don Bosch is not connected to any of the four cases. Bosch says the “bare bones” motion just makes the court aware of the upcoming extensive legal argument on the issue.

He created the motion for one of his previous clients who is black. The victim was white.

Can someone please tell us how U. S. Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano got her job? She appears to be about as knowledgeable about border issues as a late-night radio call-in yahoo.

In an interview broadcast Monday on the CBC, Ms. Napolitano attempted to justify her call for stricter border security on the premise that "suspected or known terrorists" have entered the U. S. across the Canadian border, including the perpetrators of the 9/11 attack.

All the 9/11 terrorists, of course, entered the United States directly from overseas. The notion that some arrived via Canada is a myth that briefly popped up in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, and was then quickly debunked.

Informed of her error, Ms. Napolitano blustered: "I can't talk to that. I can talk about the future. And here's the future. The future is we have borders."

Just what does that mean, exactly?

Just a few weeks ago, Ms. Napolitano equated Canada's border to Mexico's, suggesting they deserved the same treatment. Mexico is engulfed in a drug war that left more than 5,000 dead last year, and which is spawning a spillover kidnapping epidemic in Arizona. So many Mexicans enter the United States illegally that a multi-billion-dollar barrier has been built from Texas to California to keep them out.

In Canada, on the other hand, the main problem is congestion resulting from cross-border trade. Not quite the same thing, is it?

MEP candidate files Constitutional appeal

MEP candidate Norman Lowell this morning filed a Constitutional appeal from a judgment which had dismissed his Constitutional application claiming that his right to a fair hearing had been breached.

Mr Lowell had been given a two year jail term suspended for four for inciting racial hatred and insulting the President of Malta in speeches in Rabat and Qawra in 2006. He had also been fined €500.

An appeal from the sentence was dismissed last October after it was found that his fundamental human rights had not been violated by a judgment of the Court of Criminal Appeal. A Constitutional application where Mr Lowell argued that he was denied the right to a fair hearing by the appeals court was also dismissed. He is now appealing this latest judgment.

“I still believe in the supreme law of the land. The constitution protects me. It guarantees freedom of expression, even one that shocks and disturbs,” he told a news conference after the case was filed.

Mr Lowell said that he could not accept a highly subjective appeal verdict that threw out the whole concept of freedom on a subjective whim.

Was it possible that the Maltese court throw away freedom of expression on a shameful interpretation, he asked.

Mr Lowell said he could not see himself a criminal deserving a vindictive harsh sentence of two years in prison for defending his country.

History will judge who are the real criminals, he said.

“I am fighting for my country and my people desiring nothing else than to hand over to my children and grandchildren my country as it was handed down to me by my ancestors.

“If this is criminal, then I am proud to be a criminal,” he said.

Mr Lowell also criticised The Times for saying that he was not qualified to contest the MEP elections after he submitted his nomination.

He said that the newspaper had to eat its words the following day but the correction was hidden away on page 13.

Brimelow put it succinctly and correctly that with the election of President Barack Obama the US was turned over to a united minority.

In addition, the country has taken away power from the haves who produce the wealth and given it to the minorities (many of them immigrants) who have no vested interest in America other than as a market place and Mid-Eastern Bazaar.

There is no doubt in most Americans’ minds that in the US that the wealth is generated by the white majority. But the power to tax the producers is wholly owned by the consumers of our wealth, i.e. the underclass.

No good can come from this imbalance of power.

I would point out this happened before when Juan and Evita Peron assumed power in Argentina in the 1950s using the elective power of the huge number of new immigrants that had been lured to Argentina in the 1930's and 40's.

I am with Cleburne on this issue.

While I very much appreciate the excellent work that Joe Guzzardi has done in fighting mass immigration and the destruction of America, my worry is that his rosy prognosis that amnesty will not happen under Barack Obama’s administration could weaken the fight against illegal and legal immigration.

My sense is that the U.S. is getting very close to the point where you will be overwhelmed by people from the Third World and unable to fight your dispossession and ultimate destruction.

If you continue on your present pathway to national suicide, you will find yourself in a position similar to that now experienced by South African whites and will suffer a similar outcome.

Canada, Australia and other European nations are in the same boat. That does not bode well for western civilization.

I have three children and not a day goes by that I do not think of the dark and cruel world that we are preparing for our children and grandchildren.

The grand Body Snatcher (1) project of erasing race-ethnicity-religion-culture-gender distinctions does not, of course, erase them. It merely, in the manner of a babbling baby, starts calling da-da what was previously doo-doo, as if through this onomatopaeic transfiguration shit could be turned into father.

This would be a joke, were the Snatchers not in control of the West and its destiny. Because they are, real doo-doo is being packaged as Fatherland’s Wonderful Joy of Diversity, and we eat it. Literally.

There have been several known cases of jihad-by-feces (hat tip Atlas Shrugs). The latest is Sahnoun Daifallah, 42, an Algerian unemployed chemist in England who was given to walking about with a laptop bag concealing a weed sprayer. Daifallah used this contraption to spray a mix of urine and feces on food, wine and books in stores in several British towns. There was a stockpile of this stuff in his home, in plastic bags marked with the names of different British target cities.

Caprophiliac jokes that are all-too-real abound in Snatchland. A man copulates with another, marries him and can get pregnant too. The state, freed from the discipline of the gold standard, prints a perpetual stream of pieces of paper, turning money into watered-down merde. Every Western institution now considers it necessary to consult Muslim authorities with respect to the installation of toilets in public buildings.

The willful lying about reality, the manipulation of language and images to disguise such lies, the teaching and enforcement of the lies and the persecution of those who challenge the lies is the chief occupation of the regime of Meccania. Through lying, backed by a $750 million promo budget, a life-long socialist with a pronounced anti-white animus and no experience in managing as much as a newsstand was elected to manage the biggest capitalist economy in the world that also has a white majority. His predecessor had been elected on the promise of No Nation Building, yet would proceed to plunge his country into the Sisyphean building of two unbuildable nations, Afghanistan and Iraq.

Immigration to the West is based on lies too. Politicians and their echo chamber in the MSM claim that immigration is necessary because of its putative economic benefits. Yet study after study shows that the public costs of immigration far exceed the alleged economic benefits.

In France, the State spends 71,76 billion euros on the social costs of immigration, and receives back 45,57 billion in the taxes the immigrants pay, for an annual deficit of over €26 billion per year. In Great Britain, an amnesty for illegal immigrants would cost taxpayers £1million per each of such 450,000 foreigners, for a paltry total of £450 billion. Yet politicians and cardinals support the amnesty because it’s “morally right,” and thousand of addled Pods march in London to support the amnesty on grounds of its purported fiscal benefit. In the U.S., amnesty for the (low estimate) 12 million illegal immigrants will cost the taxpayers at least $2.6 trillion, not to speak of social capital depletion, yet U.S. Congress and U.S. Presidents (GWB, BHO) can’t wait to pass the amnesty.

Even the few politicians and journalists who take a principled stand against immigration lie – probably to themselves in the first place. They lie by pretending that their objection to illegal immigration is because of its illegality. But the damage is not a consequence of the illegality but of who the immigrants are. The legal immigrants cause the same social problems as the illegal ones, because they come from the Third World and, in Europe particularly, the Muslim world.

Here a second lie comes into play, for no Western politician would dare to point out that beneficial immigration can be easily separated from the harmful one not by the criterion of legality but through the shibboleth of culture.

Culture can be reliably correlated with the quartet, and only the full quartet, of race, ethnicity, religion and social class, formal education being a prime component of class in modern times. But to do that would be to commit the dreaded crime of “discrimination.” In Meccania, one cannot discriminate on pain of severe penalties. But the ultimate peril is to Meccania itself.

Reality will continue to discriminate, no matter what Body Snatchers say or do. And a clash between a reality-averse ideology and Reality has the same pre-ordained outcome as a test crash between a knockoff car and a wall. It’s only a question of the speed, acceleration, mass and distance of the lying car from the solid wall.

The finance-driven Western consumer economy is fuelled by lies too, even now when it has hit the Wall of Reality through the issue of phantom money, unrealistic levels of debt and consumption, and lying in the construction and sale of mortgage-backed and other derivative securities.

Until recently, in some Western countries one could buy a home with a loan for 110% of the property’s optimistically assessed value. All through lying autosuggestion backed by a system rigged to reward risk, gambling, irresponsibility, fraud and redundant consumption, while punishing caution, saving, self-reliance and integrity. In the United States, you could get a mortgage with no job, no savings, no education, hence no prospects of a job or savings. But on one condition: that your skin color be within the range of coffees on the menu at Starbucks.

Western-style promotion and advertising exist to instill desires in people for things they don’t need, can’t afford, or can afford but can’t attain anyway. The leggy model reclining on the Humvee in the glossy ad, she don’t come with the Humvee. You can buy a Mercedes but you can’t buy class. But after 60 years of this son et lumière brainwashing, we just salivate on command per media-imbedded cues.

Perhaps the classic tale of Body Snatcher regime’s aversion to reality transpired on 11 March 2005 in Atlanta. A 5'2", 51-year-old grandmother and sheriff's deputy, Cynthia Hall, was escorting a 6’1’, 200-lbs ex-football player and career rapist, Brian Nichols, from the county jail to the Atlanta courtroom. The hiring of Grandma Hall for what an idiot would know is a big-man-only position had been a two-fer for Fulton County, for Grandma Hall was both black and female.

As soon as Officer Hall removed Nichols’s handcuffs before entering the courtroom, the big man assaulted her, inflicting critical injuries. He then seized her gun, shot to death a Superior Court judge, a court reporter and a sheriff’s deputy, escaped the courthouse, and then killed another person in the course of a carjacking.

This tale, if not the deaths involved, would make a good Keystone Cops movie. But under the circumstances, it can serve as a metaphor for the suicidal madness that causes Body Snatcher society to self-terminate.

It’s a spiraling madness too. San Francisco, as we relayed in Part 7, has one-upped Atlanta by appointing a 5’ Chinese lesbian as its Chief of Police. It’s a trifecta that shall remain unequalled until some branch of America’s law and security enforcement apparatus recruits a Samoan lesbian paraplegic to serve as the commander of its elite tactical unit.

America is not alone in this epidemic of spongiform diversititis. We have looked previously at the pregnant Spanish Minister of Defense and evoked Fjordman’s sketches of the Scandinavian dhimmi gyneocracy, and Tiberge’s of France receding before the people it used to push back since Charles Martel. Then there is Lord Ahmed, and Antwerp’s deputy mayor who wants to convert unused churches into mosques, and the Israeli academics who see the lack of rape of Arab women by Jews as proof of Jewish racism.

The virus is pitiless and catholic, though limited to the (previously) white West alone. In Sweden, there is a plague of rapes committed by Muslim immigrants. As Muslim immigrants in Malmö increased to 25% of the population, the number of rapes tripled. The Rosengård area is largely no-go even for the Swedish police.

But the authorities blame the rapes on warm weather, alcohol, Internet dating sites and increase in reporting rape. Fjordman quotes a leading Swedish journalist, Helle Klein, “If the debate is [about] that there are problems caused by refugees and immigrants, we don’t want it.”

Muslims immigrants and their unassimilable descendants are projected to become the majority in Sweden in 40 years. Helle Klein is female and Jewish. By the time Ms. Klein wants to debate problems caused by refugees and immigrants, not only her country but perhaps she personally will have already been crash-tested by Reality. Debate will no longer be an option, only submission.

Male-dominated societies like China and Russia aggressively threaten the West’s vital interest, and Islamic patriarchal primitives ravage it from without and within, but the West is busy feminizing itself further, confusing its genders, importing tribal aliens, pussyfooting with jihad, negotiating in good faith with masters of taquiah, enforcing gender and race quotas to elevate non-deserving and incompetent nonwhites or non-males, lying to itself outrageously about innate group differences, and generally ripping itself apart in pursuit of a profound and delusionary fraud.

The energy released by the impact of Snatcher State’s smashup against the Wall of Reality may or may not be expressible in elegant mathematical formulas, but it’s clearly related to the mass hurling forward toward the “progressive” future, times some order of velocity.

The mass is incalculably enormous. Snatcher State now controls every part of every sphere of activity in every Western country. Through the 50 - 50 scheme (2), it controls directly the livelihood of 50% of its subjects. Through its ability to print paper money for itself and confiscate its subjects’ money, it controls indirectly the livelihood of everyone.

Through Gramscian education, Snatcher State has controlled the brains of the last three generations of its subjects (3). Through organizations such as G-20 and UN, wiggle room that exists in different forms in most Snatcher states is being eliminated, to bring one Meccania into existence from the Bering Sea to the far reaches of the South Pacific.

The recent G-20 summit, for instance, concluded with a declaration of intention to impose sanctions on tax havens, i.e. the few developed countries that have lower rates of taxation than the confiscatory rates in Meccania. Such brazen potential shelters from Meccania’s tax confiscators were intolerable to the Pod nomenklatura. As Stratfor summarized, “The G-20’s first task was to define which territories need to be brought in line with international tax standards in order to ‘name and shame’ them.”

A similar role is performed by UN with regard to “racism.” Durban 1 sprouted solely to revile, subdue and rob Meccania’s whitey of his remaining means, and to destroy Israel, the single country remaining where a culturally Western majority still struggles to preserve its hold on the rudders of state and weltanschauung.

The same Meccanization process is being carried out through the ‘global warming’ cabal, with international treaties and very rich globalist Über-Pods like Al Gore and Maurice Strong working to bring the entire West under a strict and destructive hobble – a hobble on which they will make a fortune and that will cripple the West and boost its foes.

The velocity is quite dizzying too. In the Eurabian districts of Meccania, one can compute the approximate date of impact by comparing demographic data on immigration and fertility rates of Muslim immigrants versus those of indigenous Europeans. The meeting with The Wall will occur around mid-21st century.

The consequences of the impact are visible now, 40 years in advance. They were visible 90 years in advance, when the process began – but not to leguminous hominid simulacra molded of space materials with an admixture of Marx, Mao, Gramsci, Beauvoir and liberation theology.

The crash may take 100 years to unfold fully, just as the test truck folds in slow-motion upon meeting the wall. But its shape is on display in the once-thriving parts of Christian civilization such as North Africa, Syria, Lebanon and Turkey, and in once-peaceful and Buddhist countries like Afghanistan and Pakistan. It’s on display now in every country where a minority of another race and faith lives among a Muslim majority.

In the North American districts of Meccania, one can read the writing on the wall now, clearly, though The Wall is still around the corner. If 50% of the babies born in Europe are named Muhammad, 50% of America’s babies are named Manuel. Many are born to Mexican citizens who just hop across the border for the American taxpayer-financed delivery and the ‘anchor-baby’ citizenship that comes with it.

Just like the future of Marseille can be seen in Marrakech, the future of Los Angeles is on display in Mexico City. The future of Los Angeles was perhaps in the cards already in 1847, when the naïve gringo winners in the Mexican – American War failed to rechristen the town then known as El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora La Reina de Los Angeles del Rio de Porciuncula. Now they have to tiptoe humbly around Aztlan in order to bow to The Race (La Raza) before begging MECHA for the keys to their own house.

Phoenix, Arizona, is already the runner-up to the title of Kidnapping Capital of the World, after Mexico City. Not entirely by coincidence, the value of real estate in Phoenix has halved in the last two years.

Detroit has already met The Wall. Its industry is shattered. It looks like a post-Apocalypse city. It has the highest per-capita crime rate in North America, probably in all of Meccania: 1,220 violent crimes per 100,000.

84% of Detroit’s population is black, voting strictly by racial allegiance and electing criminal, incompetent mayors and a city council of crude, whitey-bashing ignoramuses.

Only 22% of Detroit’s public school students graduate, and the schools have armed police on permanent duty. Similar situations in civic culture, crime and schools exist in all the large cities with large racial minority populations (4), which means almost all American cities.

These problems are impossible to fix, because the ruling Body Snatchers are racist cowards who tacitly hold black (and mestizo) people to lower standards of conduct than they do Whites. Dr. Walter Williams, a black libertarian and distinguished professor of economics, has blamed Snatcher insanity for this unraveling. He has written about Detroit schools, “Much of what's seen today is a result of harebrained ideas and a tolerance for barbaric behavior”. Williams has diagnosed a similar problem in other cities, e.g. Baltimore.

If America had not deliberately hobbled itself with “diversity” and other Snatcher delusions, the integration problems that no mixed White- Black society has yet solved in history (5) would have probably come to a salutary end by now. It’s enough to read black conservative intellectuals like Williams, Thomas Sowell and Shelby Steele to realize how much the social engineering of “redemptive liberalism” has hurt both freedom and the minorities it pretends to uplift.

The fake “strength in diversity” alone costs America $1.1 trillion per year, and that does not include the losses of social capital, which are catastrophically large. The country of noble intentions hijacked by the Snatchers in the 60s has become the country of unintended consequences.

It’s more difficult to know what ultimate shape America’s Wall will take, for its Snatchers (as in the U.K.) come in three flavors: “Progressive,” Liberal and Pseudo-Conservative, whereas in continental Europe they are all from the Left mold. Nevertheless, three things seem solidly in America’s future:

One is the destruction of the dollar and of America’s capitalist model itself – both debauched beyond measure through Pod foolishness of the Left and the putative Right, and greed of no connection to Podism.

The Obama Administration, per the Alinsky playbook, is not letting a serious crisis go to waste. It deals with a crisis created by excessive debt by multiplying the debt as though on steroids, including printing more money – 14 trillions of the stuff, printed or conjured, so far. It’s using a lot of that to grow the public’s dependence on the government, striving to equalize the 50 -50 European formula. This secures a permanent hold on the trough for the Left’s clients and brings a uniform, socialist Meccania closer to consummation.

The second item is the inevitable crash of the global economy. In the West, this will impact the U.S. the most. There will come a time when global pandemics, economic depression and Peak Oil have stopped super-container ships, 24/7 air cargo, and the 24/7 river of cross-continental trucks. The effect on the country that depends for its produce on Mexico, for its flowers on Colombia, for its fruits on Chile, for its clothing on Vietnam, for its computers on Taiwan, for its electronics on Japan, and for everything else on China, will be profound.

The third item in the crystal ball is the Mestizo-Hispanization of the United States, with all the attendant consequences. Even George Friedman of Stratfor, who sees a future of dominance and prosperity for the United States in The Next 100 Years , forecasts an eventual war with Mexico because of this.

But another word for Hispanization is balkanization. Unless the country manages to shake off its Snatcher elite, which seems unlikely in the next 40 years, it will break up like the Balkans did. In 20 years, Mexicans will have become the majority in California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. States like Nevada and Colorado will follow suit.

Pace Dr. Friedman, secession by democratic ballot seems more likely than war. Meccania shies from war against other countries; it makes war only on its own autochthons. The country that has done so much for the self-determination of Kosovo will not deny self-determination to a 90%-Mexican California.

In either case, Americans will have only their White Pod elite to blame, going back to 1965. The matter is particularly intractable because even the pseudo-conservative Pods toil hard in the service of Hispanization. Their horizon simply does not extend 20 years forward, anymore than it extends 200 years backward.

Eurabia will know it has hit The Wall when the muezzin’s call issues from the tower of the Westerkerk, long after the grave of Rembrandt and the statue of Anne Frank have been removed from this church’s premises as offensive to Muslims -- the one as a maker of graven images and the other as a Jew and a symbol of a holocaust that did not happen.

Europe’s secular-socialist feminists will have experienced The Wall when they choose themselves to wear the full body chador rather than suffer spontaneous and frequent street violence. The society that swoons at transvestite politicians, gay marriage, homosexual indoctrination in schools and “empowerment” of men-hating Marxist women will know the test of Reality when its fertility rate is no longer 1.3 but 0.65.

Before the impact

The crash seems inevitable. The momentum is enormous. The steering wheel is in the unprisable grip of crash-test dummies. A large majority of the passengers are altered Pods, happy to be on a ride toward a democratic, “progressive” future -- peaceful, diverse, integrated, free of discrimination, racism, sexism, homophobia, inequality and all things nasty.

Eventually, when the Wall of Reality is so close you can see the seams where its eternal titanium bracings are, all but the chief priests of the Pod cult will want to bail out from the speeding vehicle. There is nothing like imminent pulverization to reprogram a chip in a hurry. But by then, the velocity will be such that staying or jumping will make no difference.

We might speculate as to the full dimensions of the crash, but the purpose of this serial essay is to identify a way to exit the Pod test- vehicle before the crash. This would save those who have exited the “progressive” experiment. It would also provide a shelter for the Pod survivors of the mugging by Reality. Better yet, in areas where the population is less brainwashed, e.g. some parts of the U.S., Australia, Switzerland and Italy, it may avert the crash altogether.

The way to exit the Pod vehicle is to separate from the Body Snatchers and their clients as completely as the law of the land and human ingenuity allow, now. Walking out, retreating from the Pod domain is the only way to bring Reality to bear on its deniers. Persuasion, rhetoric, political propaganda, electoral politics cannot do it. A chip that has been molded to oscillate only at one frequency cannot be made to vibrate to another.

General Kutuzov, meet John Galt. Withdrawal, retreat, physical separation. Exodus.

As Kutuzov’s retreat forced Napoleon to fight the inexorable Russian winter, an exodus of the anti-Pods well before the crash will remove the buffer between the Snatchers and cold reality. As John Galt’s (inter alia) withdrawal from the machine of socialist exploitation removed the Atlas that was supporting the world in Ayn Rand’s novel, so will the withdrawal of anti-Pods leave Snatcher State with all the looters, but far fewer subjects to loot.

Who are the anti-Pods? The “simple folks” who study and work and pay their bills and go through life under their own steam. It’s people who give their own money to charity rather than confiscate others’ money to redistribute for political gain. Who volunteer for military service rather than attend pacifist demonstrations under a security umbrella provided by the soldiering of others. Who own guns and are ready to defend their families, because they know that Podism breeds crime and the police are always too late. Who marry only those with whom nature has made breeding possible, and who go through the tribulations of raising and providing for their brood.

It’s the cops on patrol (but not in the Chief’s office) and the firefighters, the tradesmen and small businessmen, the middle-class married women with children. It’s a minority of professionals and intellectuals who had enough inner strength to go through years of Pod indoctrination and peer pressure at university and on the job without losing their hold on Reality’s compass.

Above all, anti-Pods are net tax payers. The Pod establishment and its clients are net tax eaters. Anti-Pods pay with money and blood for the social services that the Pods administer and their clients consume.

Now, imagine that anti-Pods were to disappear from Snatchland. No police standing between the Snatcher elite and the stone-throwing segment of Muslim colonizers. No firefighters to mitigate for the Snatchers the effects of the Molotov-cocktail throwing segment of Muslim colonizers. No tactical units and gun-owning rednecks standing between the armed ethnic gangs and the Pod population. No pilots to guide global economy’s super tankers into Snatchland’s harbors. No well brought-up children around whom to stitch the sham classrooms of Meccania. Far fewer taxpayers to fund Snatchland’s madness.

Consider the Jews, probably the West’s most Podism-prone ethnic group (6). The Jewish CEJI (Centre Européen Juif d’Information), headquartered in Brussels, is “Working toward a democratic, inclusive and integrated Europe to guarantee the peaceful coexistence of its people.” As if peaceful integration, particularly with Jews, was the purpose of Belgium’s or Eurabia’s Muslims too.

The Vlaams Belang party, which may be the only thing standing between Flemish Jews and future pogroms, “doesn't convince Jewish people” per the voting ballots they cast. Elie Weisel, the Nobel Peace Prize winner and Auschwitz survivor, says, “Jews have no place in the xenophobic parties.”

In the United States, ADL, a Jewish organization existing ostensibly to combat anti-Semitic defamation, has a Hispanic section, though for The Race, or La Raza as it calls itself, this is the only reciprocal, Jewish section. ADL has also issued a public condemnation of the “anti-Islam remarks” of Geert Wilders, perhaps the greatest friend Jews have among all European politicians.

HIAS, a Jewish organization existing ostensibly to aid Jewish immigrants, imports refugees and “refugees”, including Jew-hating Somalis, from every corner of the world, and vilifies immigration opponents, particularly if they are Jewish. But consider the effects of aiding and sponsoring the immigration of Muslims to the West.

Besides the “Death-to-the Jews” marching crowds in Europe’s cities, political choices have faces on them too. In March 1994, Rashid Baz, a Lebanese immigrant cab driver in New York, looking for Jews to kill, fired at a van full of Hassidic boys, killing one. In February 1997, Ali Hasan Abu Kamal, a Palestinian immigrant, shot seven people and killed one on top of the Empire State building, because he objected to U.S. support for Israel. In July 2002, Hesham Mohamed Hadayet, an Egyptian immigrant, murdered two people and wounded four at Los Angeles Airport’s El-Al Israeli Airlines terminal. In November, 2003, in Paris, Adel Boumedienne, an Algerian “jeune” born in France, cut the throat of his longtime friendly Jewish neighbor Sébastien Selam, gouged his eyes out and then boasted, “I killed my Jew.” In January 2006, a gang of 20 mostly African Muslim immigrants led by Youssef Fofana, kidnapped and tortured to death Ilan Halimi, 23, a French-Morrocan Jew, in Paris. In July 2006, Naveed Afzal Haq, a Pakistani-American, shot up the Jewish Federation of Seattle, murdering two and wounding four while screaming, "I am a Muslim American, angry at Israel." This is just a quick snapshot, and a preview of things to come.

A Jewish politician for the Labour Party in Birmingham just had her own preview. She was denied the opportunity to vie for a ward councilor post because of being “White and Jewish.” But why would there even be a Jewish Labour politician, let alone in a city whose ex-lord mayor, incidentally the one who found her unacceptably Jewish, is a Mahmood Hussain? Such a level of madness cannot be cured through persuasion. The patient can recover only through eating copiously of the bitter fruits of her own derangement.

What would happen if anti-Pods were to leave Birmingham and let its Labour-voting Jews deal on their own with the consequences of the Labour–Muslim alliance? What would happen if Irish and other Euro-origin anti-Pod cops and firefighters, all suffering from racist discrimination, quit their jobs in New York City and Los Angeles, and left the Jewish populations of those cities, not to mention Wall Street and Hollywood, to face the unalloyed consequences of the leftist, “diversity”-promoting policies they supports with votes and donations?

The Jews are a convenient example in this case, because of the near-surreal role of canary-in-the-coal-mine that Providence (or the homeostasis of cosmic forces in Western history, for those secularly inclined) has chosen for this group. But this is a large phenomenon, encompassing the entire West, in all its autochthon demographic sectors, in all spheres of life.

The slicing of Western population by a different criterion, that of gender, would show women, by far, as the Podism-prone segment (7). Imagine that the put-upon Swedish-Swedish male decided to exit Pod society. Out of Sweden’s Muslim immigrant-“enriched” cities and into the northern countryside, or away, to countries of lesser subservience to feminist-socialist dhimmi dogma. Sweden’s feminist-and-feminized oligarchy would then begin to experience the reality of Muslim immigration quite a bit more directly.

But for Scandinavia, such a scenario is hypothetical only. For there aren’t enough anti-Pods there for an Exodus to make a difference in the pre-crash trajectory of that society. Which brings us to a few generalizations that can be usefully made at this point.

Exodus fundamentals

First, singularity. Podism is a single viral pathogen that knows no boundary of territory, culture, language or religion, except it’s limited, as though by a genetic mutation, to people of European origin alone. Although the particulars of the situation in Australia may be entirely different from Belgium’s, the same force animates the decay of both societies. The cure, Exodus, also has a single principle, but it has many possible manifestations, depending on personal circumstances and the differences in the character and situation of each country.

Second, survival. Exodus is necessary not only to put the Pods in direct contact with Reality, but also to save the anti-Pods from Meccania’s persecution. Snatchland detests such Westerners as have not yet lost their minds and their spines. We’ll have more to say about that.

Third, commitment. You combat oppression by implacable fanatics with disciplined radicalism. One for all -- all for one. There is much to learn from the history of persecuted minorities and from the defensive tactics they used. There is much to learn from Saul Alinsky’s Rules For Radicals too (8). After all, Alinsky has taken a Chicago community organizer to the White House, and a Pod Wellesley student to the White House (albeit as a wife/consigliere), the U.S. Senate, and the top of the U.S. State Department (9).

Fourth, civilization. Exodus is not simply a flight from high taxes, street crime or ethnic discrimination. When the totem of faked, forced equality hovers like a giant Moloch over Western Civilization, there remains only one option for cultural survival: construct a new civilization. Or, as we glimpsed in Part 4, an Altneuland – a new civilization that restores and reinvigorates the old one. It will be described hereafter as Atlantis.

Fifth, action. Doing and being over talking. Combining principles 2, 3 and 4 means that, at the least, anti-Pods in each town ought to strive to live next to each other, on the same street, in close proximity. When more move in, more contiguous streets. A neighborhood.

A neighborhood with anti-Pod bookstores selling books from the Antipod Press. Anti-Pod food stores and restaurants selling food produced by anti-Pods, with young anti-Pod dishwashers learning the value of hard work. Anti-Pod café-salons. Anti-Pod clothing stores selling (only high-quality) clothing made by anti-Pods on patterns from the 50s. An anti-Pod radio station and Community-TV channel and an anti-Pod film theatre running only films free of Snatcher propaganda. A security patrol of anti-Pods who live among and know the other anti-Pods. Anti-Pod schools and kindergartens and an anti-Pod governing council.

Right there you see the problem. For Meccania has laws that constrain its citizens’ freedom in many of these areas. In Germany, they’ll throw you in jail for home-schooling your child. In the U.S., some Snatcher judge will find a way to coerce you to accept Pod residents and employees, and rehab clinics or mosques for Pod clients, and Pod media content, and Pod schooling.

True self-government for anti-Pods will not be possible in any of the major cities of the West – except after the crash. Hence, for anti-Pods for whom it’s possible, the goal should be to move away from all centers where Snatchers dominate, to populate villages, towns and provinces that have the fewest Pods and Pod-clients.

The ultimate step would be secession. As we saw in Part 9, a secessionist movement already exists. But in Europe, it’s on an ethnic/linguistic basis whereas in the U.S. it’s on the basis of regional economic interests. Exodus would be on the basis of anti-Pod beliefs that include ethnic, linguistic and economic interests but go far beyond them. This has profound implications.

Sixth, Quality. Quality over Quantity.

Much can be read into what has been stated here. But a few hundred words cannot suffice to analyze complex phenomena. It would behoove the reader, therefore, to wait for an elaboration in future segments of “Meccania –Atlantis” instead of attributing imagined intent now.

If the remedy proposed here seems radical, so is the rapid progress of the lethal pathology it seeks to address. The governments and supra-government of all Western nations, and all of their institutions, are in the hands of Body Snatchers. Remote controls to the brains of 2/3 of the West’s autochthon population have been distributed among Black Messiahs, Mexican colonizers with American passports and seats in American legislatures, Muslim colonizers with seats in parliaments and mayoral chambers, women with key powers over the West’s military and strategic future, influential media barons who sprouted in the Pod hothouses of HarvardYaleOxford, Gramscian billionaires who fund the decay while making a profit on the decay, Marxist professors with cult following, Hollywood and TV celebrities and rock-stars with pea-brains and melon-sized emotional seed-pods.

All that seems like overwrought hyperbole, but it’s just a shortcut metaphor of considerable appositeness, judging by the daily, almost hourly, news.

Exodus is amply warranted. But first, one has to reckon with Leviathan.

The Federal Reserve apparently can't account for $9 trillion in off-balance sheet transactions.

When Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Orlando) asked Inspector General Elizabeth Coleman of the Federal Reserve some very basic questions about where the trillions of dollars that have come from the Fed's expanded balance sheet, the IG didn't know.

Worse, nobody at the Fed seems to have any idea what the losses on its $2 trillion portfolio really are.

"I am shocked to find out that nobody at the Federal Reserve is keeping track of anything," Grayson says.

Grayson asked Coleman if her agency had done any research into the decision not to save Lehman Brothers, which “sent shockwaves through the entire financial system,” Coleman said it had not.

“What about the $1 trillion plus expansion of the Federal reserve’s balance sheet since last September?” Grayson asked.

“We have different connotations,” Coleman replied. “We’re actually conducting a fairly high-level review of the various lending facilities collectively.”

Translation: Nobody at the Fed knows where the money went.

Do you know what who got the $1 trillion or more in the Fed's expansion of its balance, Grayson pressed.

"I do not know. We have not looked at this specific area at the particular point on that specific review," Coleman answer.

What about the trillions of off-balance transactions since last September, Grayson asked.

Coleman demurred again, saying the IG does not have jurisdiction to audit the Federal Reserve.

Grayson pointed out that it was the inspector general's job to audit such spending and asked again if the office had done any investigation at all.

Coleman's answer: Not enough yet to even respond. "We are in not a position to say if there losses."

Grayson concluded, "I am shocked to find out that nobody at the Federal Reserve, including the inspector general, is keeping track of this."

Meanwhile, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke says the bank is working on ways to rein in the massive balance sheet commitments.

"A majority of the members who made these projections just recently took 2 percent as being an appropriate number" for inflation, Bernanke said Monday.

"Somewhere between 1-1/2 to 2 percent is basically the number that our committee has individually stated is the appropriate medium-term inflation rate.

"To achieve that we need to demonstrate that we will be able to exit from the balance sheet position that we currently have, and have been working on this intensively," Bernanke said in response to questions after a speech to a conference organized by the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, reported by Reuters.

What do you suppose it is like to be elected president of the United States only to find that your power is restricted to the service of powerful interest groups?

A president who does a good job for the ruling interest groups is paid off with remunerative corporate directorships, outrageous speaking fees, and a lucrative book contract. If he is young when he assumes office, like Bill Clinton and Obama, it means a long life of luxurious leisure.

Fighting the special interests doesn’t pay and doesn’t succeed. On April 30 the primacy of special over public interests was demonstrated yet again. The Democrats’ bill to prevent 1.7 million mortgage foreclosures and, thus, preserve $300 billion in home equity by permitting homeowners to renegotiate their mortgages, was defeated in the Senate, despite the 60-vote majority of the Democrats. The banksters were able to defeat the bill 51 to 45.

These are the same financial gangsters whose unbridled greed and utter irresponsibility have wiped out half of Americans’ retirement savings, sent the economy into a deep hole, and threatened the US dollar’s reserve currency role. It is difficult to imagine an interest group with a more damaged reputation. Yet, a majority of “the people’s representatives” voted as the discredited banksters instructed.

Hundreds of billions of public dollars have gone to bail out the banksters, but when some Democrats tried to get the Senate to do a mite for homeowners, the US Senate stuck with the banks. The Senate’s motto is: “Hundreds of billions for the banksters, not a dime for homeowners.”

If Obama was naive about well-intentioned change before the vote, he no longer has this political handicap.

Democratic Majority Whip Dick Durbin acknowledged the voters’ defeat by the discredited banksters. The banks, Durbin said, “frankly own the place.”

It is not difficult to understand why. Among those who defeated the homeowners bill are senators Jon Tester (Mont), Max Baucus (Mont), Blanche Lincoln (Ark), Ben Nelson (Neb), Many Landrieu (La), Tim Johnson (SD), and Arlan Specter (Pa). According to reports, the banksters have poured a half million dollars into Tester’s campaign funds. Baucus has received $3.5 million; Lincoln $1.3 million; Nelson $1.4 million; Landrieu $2 million; Johnson $2.5 million; Specter $4.5 million.

The same Congress that can’t find a dime for homeowners or health care appropriates hundreds of billions of dollars for the military/security complex. The week after the Senate foreclosed on American homeowners, the Obama “change” administration asked Congress for an additional $61 billion dollars for the neoconservatives’ war in Iraq and $65 billion more for the neoconservatives’ war in Afghanistan. Congress greeted this request with a rousing “Yes we can!”

The additional $126 billion comes on top of the $533.7 billion “defense” budget for this year. The $660 billion--probably a low-ball number--is ten times the military spending of China, the second most powerful country in the world.

How is it possible that “the world’s only superpower” is threatened by the likes of Iraq and Afghanistan? How can the US be a superpower if it is threatened by countries that have no military capability other than a guerilla capability to resist invaders?

These “wars” are a hoax designed to enrich the US armaments industry and to infuse the “security forces” with police powers over American citizenry.

Not a dime to prevent millions of Americans from losing their homes, but hundreds of billions of dollars to murder Muslim women and children and to create millions of refugees, many of whom will either sign up with insurgents or end up as the next wave of immigrants into America.

This is the way the American government works. And it thinks it is a “city on the hill, a light unto the world.”

Americans elected Obama because he said he would end the gratuitous criminal wars of the Bush brownshirts, wars that have destroyed America’s reputation and financial solvency and serve no public interest. But once in office Obama found that he was ruled by the military/security complex. War is not being ended, merely transferred from the unpopular war in Iraq to the more popular war in Afghanistan. Meanwhile, Obama, in violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty, continues to attack “targets” in Pakistan. In place of a war in Iraq, the military/security complex now has two wars going in much more difficult circumstances.

Viewing the promotion gravy train that results from decades of warfare, the US officer corps has responded to the “challenge to American security” from the Taliban. “We have to kill them over there before they come over here.” No member of the US government or its numerous well-paid agents has ever explained how the Taliban, which is focused on Afghanistan, could ever get to America. Yet this hyped fear is sufficient for the public to support the continuing enrichment of the military/security complex, while American homes are foreclosed by the banksters who have destroyed the retirement prospects of the US population..

According to Pentagon budget documents, by next year the cost of the war against Afghanistan will exceed the cost of the war against Iraq. According to a Nobel prize-winning economist and a budget expert at Harvard University, the war against Iraq has cost the American taxpayers $3 trillion, that is, $3,000 billion in out-of-pocket and already incurred future costs, such as caring for veterans.

If the Pentagon is correct, then by next year the US government will have squandered $6 trillion dollars on two wars, the only purpose of which is to enrich the munitions manufacturers and the “security” bureaucracy.

The human and social costs are dramatic as well and not only for the Iraqi, Afghan, and Pakistani populations ravaged by American bombs. Dahr Jamail reports that US Army psychiatrists have concluded that by their third deployment, 30 percent of American troops are mental wrecks. Among the costs that reverberate across generations of Americans are elevated rates of suicide, unemployment, divorce, child and spousal abuse, drug and alcohol addiction, homelessness and incarceration. http://www.truthout.org/051209J?n

In the Afghan “desert of death” the Obama administration is constructing a giant military base. Why? What does the internal politics of Afghanistan have to do with the US?

What is this enormous waste of resources that America does not have accomplishing besides enriching the American munitions industry?

China and to some extent India are the rising powers in the world. Russia, the largest country on earth, is armed with a nuclear arsenal as terrifying as the American one. The US dollar’s role as reserve currency, the most important source of American power, is undermined by the budget deficits that result from the munition corporations’ wars and the bankster bailouts.

Why is the US making itself impotent fighting wars that have nothing whatsoever to do with its security, wars that are, in fact, threatening its security?

The answer is that the military/security lobby, the financial gangsters, and AIPAC rule. The American people be damned.

Few Blacks Show for Job Fair Opportunities

For some yet to be determined reason, African-Americans are missing in action when it comes to unique job opportunities being created in Pittsburgh.

Despite a heavy turnout at two recent job fairs conducted by the Rivers Casino, which organizers said yielded a great pool of potential employees, the number of Black applicants might have approached about 10 percent at best.

“We had an exceptional turnout for both events, but yes, there were not a lot of African-Americans and that’s a concern for us,” said George Matta, business development and community relations manager. “We specifically reached out—through the Northside Leadership Conference, CareerLink and the Urban League—to assemble a diverse applicant pool. So yes, we are aware of it, and we’ve recontacted those agencies to make sure make sure we have a diverse pool.”

Mark Fatla, executive director of the Northside Leadership Conference, said the turnout news is disappointing given the coverage of the job fairs, especially in the New Pittsburgh Courier. He said it is possible that some folks are putting themselves out of the process because they believe they won’t get hired.

Through outreach workshops in conjunction with the Urban League, CareerLink and Community College of Allegheny County, Fatla’s organization assembled a pool of 827 low-income and minority applicants for casino positions. Of those, he said, 324 were scheduled for interviews, 237 actually showed up, and of those 150 were scheduled for a second interview.

Maine: African Mob Goes On Rampage After Police Confront Shoplifter

Arrests follow after some of those who gathered allegedly get aggressive toward Portland officers.

PORTLAND — Several juveniles and adults face charges following a melee at Franklin Arterial and Fox Street that began when police stopped and arrested a shoplifting suspect and an unruly crowd gathered.

Police responded to a report that a man had stolen two bottles of vodka at 7 p.m. Friday at the Hannaford on Forest Avenue.

Workers at the store provided a description of the suspect and the car he left in, and police pulled the car over at Franklin Arterial and Fox Street a couple of minutes later, police said.

As police were arresting Jimmy Odong, 19, of Portland and recovering the stolen merchandise, a group of about 15 to 30 people gathered, with about 10 of them becoming aggressive toward police, officers said.

A number of other officers were dispatched to the area, which is alongside the Kennedy Park housing development. Members of the gathering group, some of whom are Sudanese, like Odong, and some who are from other African countries, began calling the officers names, including "killers" and "murderers," in apparent reference to the police shooting of a Sudanese immigrant, David Okot, last month.

When police prepared to tow the car Odong had driven, some of the crowd jumped on the car to try to prevent it from being taken, police said.

Three juveniles eventually were arrested, two of them on charges of assault after they allegedly punched the officers, police said.

Police also charged Yannick Mulongo, 21, of Clark Street with unlawful interference with a law enforcement dog, after he allegedly taunted a police dog named Taz; and Sara Langoia, 18, of Anderson Street with obstructing government administration.

Police said they had to use pepper spray in making the arrests.

The shift commander reported that additional arrests were warranted, but officers opted not to arrest others so the confrontation would not escalate.

Police said the minors were referred to juvenile corrections authorities, who planned to release them to the custody of their parents.

The Big Dog Wins Another One

The acquittal of former AIPAC operatives Steven Rosen and Keith Weissman on espionage is yet another victory for the Israel Lobby. As happens so often these days, stories that are much discussed in some sectors of the Internet are pretty much ignored in the MSM. The New York Times buried it and the LA Times ignored it entirely. It was missing from network news and from cable TV talk shows of all political leanings.

Lobbies, it is said, live in the dark and die in the light of day. And here the media cooperates with a bit of self-censorship.

One of the major points made by the defense was the following argument:

Highlighting the curious underpinnings of this prosecution, the high-level government officials with whom Rosen and Weissman regularly met and who, according to the Indictment, illegally disclosed classified NDI [national defense information], have not — with but one exception — been charged criminally. Indeed, one of the disclosing officials has since received, not charges or reprimands, but a series of promotions to one of the highest, most sensitive positions in the government.

The “one exception” is former Pentagon official Lawrence A. Franklin, who has been sentenced to a 12-year prison term. The two other high-level government officials were given coded names in the original indictment, but they are now known to be Kenneth Pollack and David Satterfield. The indictment indicates that both Pollack and Satterfield gave classified information to Rosen and/or Weissman.

Despite the wording of the indictment, Pollack claims that he “could not imagine having relayed classified information.” I guess we are supposed to take his word for it.

The indictment also mentions two Department of Defense employees who put Rosen in contact with Franklin. Neither of these has ever been named, but it would be interesting to find out their names as well. One of these employees was at a breakfast meeting with Franklin, Rosen, and Weissman when Franklin provided the AIPAC employees with classified information.

Rather than being indicted as Franklin was, life has been good for Satterfield (and Pollack; see below). Satterfield has been promoted — three times: to Principal Deputy in the Department of State’s Mideast Bureau, then to Deputy Chief of Mission with the rank of Ambassador in Iraq and most recently to Principal Adviser to the Secretary of State on Iraq.

All of these are sensitive assignments and all of them relate to the area of AIPAC’s main concern. AIPAC is doubtless quite happy that there are high-level US government officials who are stationed in just the right areas and who cooperate in giving them classified information.

The point of the defense, of course, is that since Satterfield and Pollack have never been indicted, Rosen and Weissman were not doing anything out of the ordinary. That is, they were talking with government officials who were not seen as doing anything wrong because nothing was done to them. And if the government officials weren’t doing anything wrong, then how could the defendants possibly be doing anything wrong? It’s all part of business as usual in Washington.

This is an excellent argument. The government’s prosecution seems to have been capricious at best. But the question for the rest of us is: Why weren’t Pollack and Satterfield indicted? And why was Lawrence Franklin targeted as the fall guy while two high-level Jewish officials — officials that the government claims gave Rosen and Weissman classified information — were not charged at all?

From the standpoint of the government, it should make much more sense to go after the ethnic Jews who are providing classified information to AIPAC than to go after a hapless non-Jew who seems to have been seeking to advance his career by doing what his Jewish peers are doing — providing information to AIPAC. What better way to ingratiate oneself into the power structure?

Indeed, in the indictment, Franklin asks Rosen “to put in a good word for him” for a position on the National Security Council (NSC), and Rosen replies “I’ll do what I can.” Quite clearly, Franklin was seeking to advance his career in the national security establishment by cooperating with AIPAC. What a statement on the power of AIPAC in the eyes of people trying to get ahead in Washington!

On the other hand, during his trial Franklin portrayed himself as seeking to get information to people on the NSC. He had nothing but the highest motives.

But this implies that Franklin thought that it was reasonable for him to believe that by giving information to Rosen and Weissman he could influence the NSC. This shows that Franklin viewed AIPAC as having extraordinary access to the NSC — more access than he had as an employee of the Defense Department. Obviously, this does nothing to diminish one's estimate of the power of AIPAC in the US government.

But the big point is that if the government really wanted to end the funneling of classified information to AIPAC and to Israel, it would go after the ethnic Jews in the government who are providing the classified information. The “passionate attachment” of ethnic Jews to Israel is the stuff of legend and is an obvious motivation that any reasonable person concerned about security issues should be aware of and try to eliminate.

The question is important because Pollack and Satterfield are exactly the types of people whose presence at high levels of the US government illustrate the power of the Israel Lobby and its ability to get information from the highest levels of the US government.

Indeed, there is now a long list of Jewish patriots who have been credibly charged with spying for Israel. Jonathan Pollard and Ben-Ami Kadish were convicted or pled guilty, but there is also a top drawer list of neoconservatives in that category who were not convicted: Richard Perle, Paul Wolfowitz, Stephen Bryen, Douglas Feith, and Michael Ledeen.

Satterfield has kept a fairly low profile in terms of his associations, but Pollack is a classic Jewish activist who has gone back and forth between high positions in the government and high positions in pro-Israel activist organizations. In particular, he was working for the NSC at the time when he was mentioned in the indictment of Franklin, Rosen, and Weissman — presumably indicating that Rosen and Weissman did indeed have a close contact at the NSC and would be able to put in a good word for the ambitious Mr. Franklin.

At the end of the Clinton administration, Pollack moved seamlessly to hardline pro-Israel advocacy as Director or Research at the Saban Center for Middle East Policy at the Brookings Institute. In this role he has been a strong advocate for the war in Iraq. Whereas the Iraq War was definitely a project of the neocons, Pollack is a Democrat who used his influence to successfully promote the war among liberals. New York Times columnist Bill Keller noted “Kenneth Pollack, the Clinton National Security Council expert whose argument for invading Iraq is surely the most influential book of this season, has provided intellectual cover for every liberal who finds himself inclining toward war but uneasy about Mr. Bush.”

And liberal columnist Matthew Yglesias pointed to Pollack’s influence among liberals in creating a bi-partisan agreement in favor of the war. He describes himself as among those “who read Pollack's celebrated 2002 book, 'The Threatening Storm: The Case for Invading Iraq,' and became convinced as a result that the United States needed to, well, invade Iraq in order to dismantle Saddam Hussein's advanced nuclear weapons program (the one he didn't actually have).”

Pollack therefore is a good example of how the Israel Lobby plays both sides of the aisle. The neocons take over the Republican Party, while the liberals are swayed by the likes of Pollack. And wealthy activists like Haim Saban are there to endow the Saban Center so that people like Pollack can have good jobs and a prominent platform for their ideas.

As noted in my previous column, dual citizen Saban’s love for Israel knows no bounds. Indeed, one aspect of Saban's commitment is that he seems to be involved in yet another AIPAC scandal as the person who asked Rep. Jane Harman to use her influence to get the charges against Rosen and Weissman reduced.

Saban and Pollack obviously have a lot in common. Like Pollack, Saban is a Democrat. Saban is a huge donor to the Democratic Party — he gave over $10,000,000 in 2001–2002. But he’s a liberal who loves war if it’s in Israel’s interests, and he got the right man in Pollack to head his center.

Finally, Judge T. S. Ellis III forced the government to have a very high standard for conviction. The government had to prove that Rosen and Weissman “had a bad faith reason to believe the disclosures could be used to the injury of the United States or to the aid of a foreign nation; and … intended that such injury to the United States or aid to a foreign nation occur.”

This is a very high standard and would make it pretty much impossible to convict anyone of spying on behalf of Israel. Indeed, the first line of defense for neocons against accusations of dual loyalty is to claim that they sincerely believe that are advocating policies that are in the interests of the United States. As I noted elsewhere,

One need not be a professional psychologist to realize that sincere beliefs can be influenced in subtle ways by one’s ethnic commitments. The neocons may not be consciously disloyal, but there is every reason to suppose that their beliefs are tailor-made to conform to their perception of ethnic interests. And in the case of the neocons ... there is overwhelming evidence for deep ethnic commitments among neoconservative Jews.

Jewish organizations have every reason to celebrate this victory. Not only were the AIPAC operatives acquitted, the Jewish activists inside the US government who are alleged to have given AIPAC classified information were not even indicted.

True to form, their reaction is to take full advantage of their victory. Malcolm Hoenlein, Executive Vice Chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations hinted darkly that the investigation was motivated by anti-Semitism: “Hoenlein questioned ‘the justification’ for the case and the decision to bring charges under a law that had barely been used in more than 90 years.” As one activist rabbi noted, “We are very, very happy this has been dismissed,” But “for us this is not over, this is the beginning.” “The government should not be able to get away with this.”

The effects of this are obvious. US government personnel will be very reluctant to mount such investigations in the future. They will be intimidated — afraid to investigate any espionage on behalf of Israel because of effects on their own career.

The result will be a repeat of what happened to the State Department. In the bad old days (from the standpoint of the organized Jewish community), the State Department, and especially the Near East Desk, was run by people who were not sympathetic to Israel. All that has changed as a result of a major push by Jewish activists to assume positions in the State Department and to shift policy their way.

Jewish activists may not be able to influence the security establishment to quite the same extent. But they surely will use the results of the current case to do what they can to make the people who were responsible for this case pay a very high price. And they may well succeed.

From Nihilism to Tradition

I. Race of Blood, Race of Spirit
In the United States, nationalists take their stand on the question of race, arguing that it denotes meaningful differences between subspecies, that these differences have significant behavioral and social ramifications, and that the present threat to white racial survival constitutes the single, most vital issue facing our people. In Europe, by contrast, our counterparts pursue a somewhat different strategy. Against the antiwhite forces of multiculturalism, Third World immigration, feminism, and globalization, European nationalists tend to privilege not race per se, but the defense of their cultural/historical identity.

This identitarian emphasis might be explained by the absence in Europe of “First Amendment rights” and hence of the freedom to treat racial questions forthrightly. But there is, I think, another, more interesting reason for these transatlantic differences: namely, that European nationalists define race not simply as a matter of blood, but also as a spiritual—that is, as a historical and cultural—phenomenon. Implicit in this view is the assumption that the body is inseparable from the spirit animating it, that biological difference, as a distinct vitality, is another form of spiritual difference, and that the significance of such differences (given that man is a spiritual being, not merely an animal) is best seen in terms of culture and history rather than nineteenth-century biological science.

Race, then, may be the necessary organic substratum to every historically and culturally distinct people, but its biological properties, however primordial, are only the form, not the substance, of its spiritual manifestation. Thus, whilst we Americans search for psychological, sociological, conspiratorial, or political explanations to account for the racially self-destructive behavior of our people, Europeans look to the loss of their culture and tradition—and the identity they define.

II. Dominique Venner
These distinctions reflect not just strategic differences between US and continental nationalisms but the larger civilizational divide separating America from Europe—and hence their different historical trajectories. This is especially evident in the fact that Europeans of all political persuasions are presently embarked on an epoch-making project—a politically united Europe—that promises them dominance in tomorrow’s world. There is, moreover, real debate about how the European project is to be realized, especially in France, where the will to power is most developed. The New Class forces in control of the European Union, as might be expected, favor the liberal, economic, and quantitative principles that are leading white people everywhere to ruin, envisaging Europe as a multiracial civilization based on free markets, unguarded borders, and an ethnocidal humanitarianism. Against them, the various anti-system parties challenging the “liberal-democratic” order of money imposed on Europe in 1945, along with hundreds of New Right, far Right, revolutionary nationalist, and revolutionary conservative formations making up the Right’s extra-parliamentary wing, marshal an array of persuasive counter-arguments and do so not simply in the language of race. For unlike their New World homologues, these anti-liberals have the millennia-long tradition of Europe’s race-culture to buttress their opposition.

It is as part of this larger debate on Europe that Dominique Venner’s Histoire et tradition des européennes: 30 000 ans d’identité (History and Tradition of the Europeans: 30,000 Years of Identity) is to be situated. Few living writers are better qualified than Venner to speak for the white men of the West. For five decades, on paper and on numerous battlefields, he has earned the right to do so. His first arena in service to the European cause was French Algeria, where he served as an elite paratrooper. Later, in the 1960s, after discovering that the cosmopolitan forces of international capital had captured all the seats of power, he fought on another front, playing a leading role in the period’s far-right campaigns. Besides getting to know more than one French prison, he helped launch the metapolitical career of the “European New Right” (or “New Culture”), which has since become the chief ideological opponent of the Judeo-liberal forces allied with le parti américain.

In addition to having shown courage and integrity under fire, Venner is a favorite of the muses, having authored more than forty books and innumerable articles on the most diverse facets of the European experience. Most of his books are works of historical popularization. His books on Vichy France, however, rank with the most important scholarly contributions to the field, as do his numerous books on firearms and hunting (one of which has been translated into English). Venner’s military history of the Red Army (Histoire de l’Armée Rouge 1917-1924) won the coveted prize of the Académie Française. His Le coeur rebel, a memoir of his years as a paratrooper in Algeria and a militant in the thick of Parisian nationalist politics during the 1960s, I think is one of the finest works of its kind. Venner has also founded and edited several historical reviews, the latest being the Nouvelle Revue d’Histoire, whose web address is http://www.nrh.fr.

In his most recent work, Histoire et tradition des européennes, this gifted European turns to his people’s distant past to answer the great questions posed by their uncertain future.

III. Nihilism
Writing at the advent of the new millennium, Venner notes that for the first time in history, Europeans no longer dominate the land of their fathers, having lost control of their borders, their institutions, and the very means of reproducing themselves as a people. He characterizes the present period as one of cultural chaos and racial masochism. No fluke of fate, this dark age culminates a long period of spiritual upheaval, in which Europeans have been severed from their roots and forced to find themselves in all the wrong places, including the negation of themselves. The loss of meaning and purpose fostered by this upheaval in which traditional forms of identity have given way to false ones, Venner calls “nihilism.”

For Nietzsche, the most prominent popularizer of the term, nihilism is a product of “God’s death,” which undermines Christian belief and leaves the world without a sense of purpose. Venner sees it in somewhat broader terms, designating not simply the loss of religious belief, but the loss of the larger cultural heritage as nihilism’s principal source. In this sense, nihilism subverts those transcendent references that formerly oriented the Occident, leaving modern man with a disenchanted world of materialist satisfactions and scientific certainties, but indifferent to “all the higher values of life and personality.” Given its focus on the physical basis of existence, nihilism fosters a condition devoid of sense, form, or order and hence one deprived of those standards that might aid us in negotiating the great trials of our age. An especially dire consequence of this loss of transcendence is a civilizational crisis in which the survival of our race becomes a matter of general indifference.

Venner traces nihilism’s roots to the advent of Spengler’s “Faustian civilization,” which began innocently enough when Saint Thomas introduced Aristotelian logic to Christian theology, privileging thereby the forces of rationality. Because Christianity held that there was a single truth and a single spiritual authority (the Church), reason in this Thomist makeover was made the principal means of accessing the divine. But once the Christian God became dependent on reason, He risked eventually being repudiated by it. This came with Descartes, the founder of modern philosophy, who turned reason into a purely instrumental and calculative faculty. In the form of science, technology, and industry, Cartesian rationalism reduced everything to a mechanical causality, associating reason with the progressive mastery of nature, a belief in progress (soon to supplant the belief in Providence), and, ultimately, the rule of money.

Venner claims a desiccated mathematicized reason, no matter how technologically potent, is no substitute for transcendent references, for a disenchanted world governed by its principles is a world devoid of meaning and purpose. The ongoing mechanization of human existence and the quantitative, economic priorities it favors are, indeed, premised on the eradication of those transgenerational structures of history, tradition, and culture which inform all traditional belief systems. And once such structures give way to rationalism’s anti-organic propositions, so too does the significance of those qualities distinguishing Europeans from other members of the human family. In this spirit, the world born of nihilism takes as its ideal an abstract, uniform, and coffee-colored humanity indifferent to pre-rational life forms based on Europe’s organic heritage.

The greater the barrenness of the encroaching nihilism, the greater, Venner contends, is the need to reconnect with the primordial sources of European being. This, however, is now possible only through research and reflection, for these sources have been largely extirpated from European life. In uncovering the principal tropes of Europe’s history and tradition, Venner does not, then, propose a literal return to origins (which, in any case, is impossible), but rather a hermeneutical encounter that seeks out something of their creative impetus. From this perspective, Homer’s Iliad, written thirty centuries ago, still has the capacity to empower us because it expresses something primordial in our racial soul, connecting us with who we were at the dawn of our history—and with what we might be in the adventures that lie ahead. Whenever Europeans reconnect with these primordial sources, they take, thus, a step toward realizing an identity—and a destiny—that is distinctly their own.

IV. Tradition
When Venner speaks of tradition, he refers not to the customary rites and practices that anthropologists study, nor does he accept the utilitarian approach of Edmund Burke and Russell Kirk, who treat it as the accumulated wisdom of former ages, nor, finally, does he view it as that transhistorical body of principles undergirding the world’s religions, as René Guénon and Julius Evola do. Tradition in his view is that which is immutable and perpetually reborn in a people’s experience of its history, for it is rooted in a people’s primordial substratum. It ought not, then, to be confused with the traditions or customs bequeathed by the past but, instead, seen as the enduring essence—the truth—of a particular historical community, constituting, as such, the infrastructural basis—the cultural scaffolding—of its spirit and vitality.

From this perspective, Europe was born not with the signing of certain free-trade agreements in the late twentieth century, but from millennia of tradition. Nowhere is this clearer than in the themes linking the Iliad, the medieval epics, the Norse sagas, even the national poem of the Armenian Maherr, where we encounter the same warrior ethic that makes courage the ultimate test of a man’s character; the same aristocratic notions of service and loyalty; the same chivalric codes whose standards are informed by beauty, justice, and harmony; the same defiance in face of unjust authority and ignoble sentiments, but, above all, the same metaphysical rebellion against an unexamined existence. From these Aryan themes, Venner claims the organic legacy that is Europe takes form.

The word itself “Europe” is nearly three millennia old, coined by the Greeks to distinguish themselves from the peoples of Africa and Asia. Not coincidentally, Hellenic Europe was forged—mythically in Homer, historically in the Persian Wars—in opposition to Asia. The roots of Europe’s tradition reach back, though, beyond the Greeks, beyond even the Indo-Europeans, who shaped the linguistic and cultural structures of its root peoples. It begins 30,000 years ago, at the dawn of Cro-Magnon man, whose cultural imagery lingers in the extraordinary cave paintings of Chauvet (France) and Kapova (Ukraine), in that region stretching from the Pyrenees to the Urals, where, for nearly 20,000 years, until the last Ice Age arrived, the germ of European civilization took form, as race and culture fused in a uniquely brilliant synergy. Every subsequent era has passed on, reframed, and added to this traditional heritage—every era, that is, except the present nihilist one, in which liberals and aliens dominate.

V. History
Darwin may have been right in explaining the evolution of species, but, Venner insists, history operates irrespective of zoological or scientific laws. As such, history is less a rectilinear progression than a spiral, without beginning or end, with cycles of decay and rebirth intricate to its endless unfoldings. No single determinism or causality can thus conceivably grasp the complexity of its varied movements. Nor can any overarching cause explain them. Given, therefore, that a multitude of determinisms are at work in history, each having an open-ended effect, the course and significance of which are decided by the historical actor, human freedom regains its rights. And as it does, history can no longer be seen as having an in-built teleology, as “scientific” or ideological history-writing, with its reductionist determinisms, presumes. This means there is nothing inevitable about the historical process for, at any moment, it can take an entirely new direction. What would the present be like, Venner asks, if Hitler had not survived the Battle of Ypres or if Lee had triumphed at Gettysburg? None of the great events of the past, in fact, respond to “necessity,” which is always an a posteriori invention.

In conditioning a people’s growth, the existing heritage constitutes but one determinant among many. According to Venner, the existing heritage enters into endless combination with the forces of fortune (whose classic symbol is a woman precariously balanced on a spinning wheel) and virtù, a Roman quality expressive of individual will, audacity, and energy, to produce a specific historical outcome. In this conjuncture of determinism and fortune, the virtù of the historical actor becomes potentially decisive. Lenin, Hitler, Mussolini—like Alexander, Caesar, and Arminius before them—or Frederick II, Peter the Great, Napoleon—were all men whose virtù was of world historical magnitude. Without their interventions, in an arena organized by the heritage of the past and subject to the forces of chance, history might have taken a different course. This suggests that history is perpetually open—and open in the sense that its unfolding is continually affected by human consciousness. History’s significance, therefore, is not to be found in the anonymous currents shaping its entropic movements, but in the meanings men impose upon them. For in face of the alleged determinisms justifying the existing order, it is the courage—the virtù—of the historical actor that bends the historical process in ways significant to who we are as a people.

In Venner’s view, the European of history is best seen as a warrior bearing a sword, symbol of his will. The virtù of this warrior is affirmed every time he imposes his cosmos (order) upon a world whose only order is that which he himself gives it. History, thus, is no immobilizing determinism, but a theater of the will, upon whose stage the great men of our people exert themselves. Both as intellectual discipline and individual act of will, it seems hardly coincidental that history is Europe’s preeminent art form.

VI. In Defense of Who We Are
Like history, life has no beginning or end, being a process of struggle, an overcoming of obstacles, a combat, in which the actor’s will is pivotal. While it inexorably ends in death and destruction, from its challenges all our greatness flows. The Hellenes entered history by refusing to be slaves. Bearing their sword against an Asiatic foe, they won the right to be who they were. If a single theme animates Venner’s treatment of Europe’s history and tradition, it is that Europeans surmounted the endless challenges to their existence only because they faced them with sword in hand—forthrightly, with the knowledge that this was not just part of the human condition, but the way to prove that they were worthy of their fate. Thus, as classical Greece rose in struggle against the Persians, the Romans against the Carthaginians, medieval and early modern Europe against Arabic, then Turkish, Islam, we too today have to stand on our borders, with sword in hand, to earn the right to be ourselves.

Europeans, Venner concludes, must look to their history and tradition—especially to the honor, heroism, and heritage Homer immortalized—to rediscover themselves. Otherwise, all that seeks the suppression of their spirit and the extinction of their blood will sweep them aside. The question thus looms: In the ethnocidal clash between the reigning nihilism and the white men of the West, who will prevail? From Venner’s extraordinary book, in which the historian turns from the drama of the event to the scene of our longue durée, we are led to believe that this question will be answered in our favor only if we remain true to who we are, to what our forefathers have made of us, and to what Francis Parker Yockey, in the bleak years following the Second World War, called the primacy of the spirit.

A Cause Whose Time Has Come: GOP Must Become The Party Of Frank Ricci

Having lost both houses of Congress and the White House in two straight elections, Republicans are going through an identity crisis, its leaders holding Town Hall meetings to "listen" to the people.

"What should we focus on? Should we drop the social issues? How do we get the young people back?"

Such angst and soul-searching is not the mark of the leader, but the mark of a man suffering from doubt and despair.

Why is the party in trouble? Simple. Dubya got a hold of the keys, got high on neocon hooch, and crashed and rolled the family SUV.

He launched an unnecessary war against a country that had not attacked us. With his utopian No Child Left Behind scheme and his Medicare drug plan, he did his passable imitation of LBJ, and blew a hole in the budget.

Touting globalism, he presided over the loss of one in every four U.S. manufacturing jobs and ran up $5 trillion in trade deficits. He refused to defend the Mexican border against an invasion, then pushed an amnesty for the invaders.

This was no Reaganite. This was the neocons' apprentice.

How does the party reconnect with Middle America? How does it win back the Reagan Democrats who went home disgusted?

Become again the party of Frank Ricci.

And who is Frank Ricci?

He is a fireman in New Haven, Conn., with 11 years in the department, who suffers from dyslexia, but nonetheless has pursued his dream of becoming a lieutenant and a captain.

Six months before the promotion test, Ricci quit his second job. He bought $1,000 worth of the textbooks he was told to study, had a friend read them onto tapes to compensate for his dyslexia, studied every spare hour he got, and sat for the test, to compete for one of eight lieutenant slots open.

Frank made it. Frank Ricci came in sixth.

It was after the results of the test were made known that the problems arose. For, of the officers who had made the cut, all were white, except for one Latino.

Concluding the test results would, if used by the department, have an "adverse impact" on the black community, New Haven tossed out the results and called for new exams to ensure a "fair" outcome.

Thus, because he is a white man whose people came from Italy, Frank Ricci is to be denied a promotion he worked for and won, and be robbed of his American dream by the liberal bigots who run New Haven.

Had Frank Ricci and half of the other top performers been black, all would be on their way to becoming lieutenants and captains.

What is being done to Frank Ricci is exactly what was done to black folks for decades. Great black ballplayers who might have become legends like DiMaggio and Lou Gehrig never got the chance because they were black. Black students were denied admission to prep schools, colleges and military academies because of their color.

Now, what was done to them is being done to white folks. And it is just as wrong as it was then.

In 21st century America, race discrimination endures.

All we have done is switch the color of the victims with the color of the beneficiaries. Today it is white males applying for jobs and promotions as cops, firemen, government workers, who are held back because their color does not comport with the desired "diversity".

What New Haven has done to Frank Ricci is like the U.S. Olympic Committee throwing out all the trial heat results in the 100- and 200-meter races because not a single white runner qualified.

New Haven contends the "disparate impact" of the test hurts the black community, proving discrimination. But does the relative absence of blacks in the National Hockey League prove discrimination?

If the Republican Party wants a future, it will become again the party that stands on the principle that "No discrimination means no discrimination", that stands with the victims of state bigotry, and that stands up to hypocrites like the Jim Crow liberals of New Haven.

Affirmative action began as a mandate to cast a wider net and ensure all had an equal shot. It has become a mighty engine of state injustice that seeks to remedy the consequences of past racial sins and crimes, by committing new ones.

In Michigan, Washington and California, none of them red states, majorities have voted to abolish affirmative action. Only Colorado failed in a dead heat last fall. A Republican drive to write into federal law an end to all race and gender preferences, as well as to all race and gender discrimination, is a cause whose time has come.

This is a winning issue for the GOP, for it is rooted in principle and comports with what is written on the human heart.

Down deep, even liberals know that what is being done to Frank Ricci is not right.

Over the years egalitarians have questioned the taxonomic classification of race in terms of its empirical value and utility. Notwithstanding these criticisms which seek to undermine the legitimacy of race as a scientific concept, the answer to the question posed in the title of this paper is “yes.” If the concept of race didn’t exist, science would have to invent it (and did)! Race is a valid taxonomic construct because it allows us to make predictions about people’s behavior, especially at the group level.

In science, a concept is useful if it groups facts so that general laws and conclusions can be drawn from them. Predictions can be made using the taxonomic category of race because, on average, the Chinese, Japanese, and Koreans are similar to each other and different from White Americans, Germans, and Russians, who are similar to each other and different from Black Americans, Haitians, and sub-Saharan Africans. Predictability is the criterion by which the value of a hypothetical construct like race is evaluated. As I will show, race is highly predictive.

For the past 20 years my research has focused on differences between the three major races, commonly termed Orientals (East Asians, Mongoloids), Whites (Europeans, Caucasoids), and Blacks (Africans, Negroids). Roughly speaking, Orientals are those who have most of their ancestors from East Asia. Whites have most of their ancestors from Europe. And Blacks have most of their ancestors from sub-Saharan Africa. In the main, I have not addressed the many other groups outside of these three major races, or sub-groups within the three major races, though they are of interest as well.

What I've found is that in brain size, intelligence, temperament, sexual behavior, fertility, growth rate, life span, crime, and family stability, Orientals, as a group, consistently fall at one end of the spectrum, Blacks fall at the other end, and Whites fall in between. On average, Orientals are slower to mature, less fertile, and less sexually active, and have larger brains and higher IQ scores. Blacks are at the opposite end in each of these areas. Whites fall in the middle, often close to Orientals (see Chart 1).

Of course, these three-way racial differences are averages. Individuals are individuals. However, I've found that this three-way pattern is consistently true over time and across nations. That the same three-way racial pattern occurs repeatedly on some 60 different biological and behavioral variables is profoundly interesting and shows that race is more than “just skin deep.” The international data come from the World Health Organization, the United Nations, and Interpol. Recently, I even traveled to South Africa to collect new IQ data.

Let's start with the biological differences in sports, which is something almost everyone observes. Jon Entine's recent book Taboo: Why Black Athletes Dominate Sports and Why We Are Afraid to Talk About It, addresses the old cliché that "White men can't jump" (and the new one that Oriental men jump even less well). Entine shows that in sports, it is Black men and women who can sky! And yet, as the data also show, it is mainly Blacks of West African descent who excel at running over short distances, while Blacks of East African descent – from Kenya and Ethiopia – excel at marathon running over long distances. These differences between East and West Africans show that taking an average can sometimes gloss over important distinctions. Still, Blacks from both East and West Africa excel at one or another kind of running. In sports, Blacks as a group, have a genetic advantage.

It is interesting to know that race differences show up early in life. Black babies are born a week earlier than White babies, yet they mature faster as measured by bone development. By age five or six, Black children excel in the dash, the long jump, and the high jump, all of which require a short burst of power. By the teenage years, Blacks have faster reflexes, as in the famous knee-jerk response.

Blacks also have from 3 to 19% more of the sex hormone testosterone than Whites or Orientals. This means more explosive energy, which gives Blacks the edge in sports like boxing, basketball, football, and sprinting.

Why is it taboo to say that Blacks are on average better at sports? Because the hormones that give Blacks the edge in sports also make them more masculine in general. They are physically more active in school, and this can sometimes get them into trouble or even lead to their being diagnosed as hyperactive.

So the next question is, “Why do East Asians and Whites and have wider hips than Blacks, and so make poorer runners?” The answer is that they give birth to larger brained babies. During evolution, as the head size of newborns increased, women had to have a wider pelvis. Orientals average 1 cubic inch more cranial capacity than Whites, and Whites average a very large 5 cubic inches more cranial capacity than Blacks.

Some people are surprised to hear that the races differ in brain size. And they wonder how convincing the evidence is that brain size is related to intelligence. In fact, dozens of studies, including those based on state-of-the-art magnetic resonance imaging, have demonstrated the relation between brain size and intelligence.

Race differences in brain size have been demonstrated using four different methods: (1) magnetic resonance imaging, (2) brain weight at autopsy, (3) endocranial volume, and (4) external head measurements. These data are summarized in Chart 2 which presents the brain size averages across the four measurement techniques and also, where possible, corrected for body size. Orientals averaged 1,364 cm3, Whites averaged 1,347 cm3, and Blacks averaged 1,267 cm3. Naturally the averages vary between samples and the races do overlap. But the results from different methods on different samples, measured from the 1840s to the 1990s, show the same strong pattern.

The racial differences in brain size show up at birth. One study of my own, published in the 1997 issue of the journal Intelligence, was carried out using the resources of the National Institute of Neurological and Communicative Disorders and Stroke (NINCDS) in Bethesda, Maryland. In it, I analyzed data from the enormous Collaborative Perinatal Project, which took head circumference measures and IQ scores from over 50,000 children followed from birth to seven years. The Oriental children averaged larger head circumferences than did the White children at birth, four months, one year, and seven years; the White children averaged larger head circumferences than did the Black children (see Chart 3).

I published several other studies during the 1990s, also in Intelligence, confirming the racial differences in brain size. In one study, I (1991) analyzed data from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and found the mean cranial capacity for East Asians was 1,460 cm3, and for Europeans it was 1,446 cm3. From a stratified random sample of 6,325 U.S. Army personnel, I (1992) calculated average cranial capacities for Asians, Whites, and Blacks, respectively, of 1,416 cm3, 1,380 cm3, and 1,359 cm3. (I also found that officers averaged 1,393 cm3 while enlisted personnel averaged 1,375 cm3.) From a compilation made by the International Labour Office in Geneva of tens of thousands of people from around the world, I (1994) found that samples from the Pacific Rim, Europe, and Africa averaged cranial capacities, respectively, of 1,308 cm3, 1,297 cm3, and 1,241 cm3. Travis Osborne and I (1995) published a paper showing that brain size was about 50% heritable for both Blacks and Whites using data from the Georgia Twin Study based on 236 pairs of Black and White adolescent twins. And once again we found Whites averaged greater cranial capacity than Blacks.

Since one cubic inch of brain matter contains millions of brain cells and hundreds of millions of nerve connections, brain size helps to explain why the races differ in IQ. On standardized IQ tests, hundreds of studies show the three-way pattern. Orientals average slightly ahead of Whites on such tests and Whites average substantially ahead of Blacks. Most IQ tests have an average score of 100, with a “normal” range from 85 to 115. Around the world, Whites average an IQ of about 100, Orientals an IQ of about 104, and Blacks in Britain, the Caribbean, and the U.S. average lower IQs -- about 85. The lowest average IQs are found for sub-Saharan Africans – around 70 (see Chart 4). Like the other data sets in this essay, these are reviewed in my book Race, Evolution, and Behavior. An even more recent book on the topic is by Richard Lynn and Tatu Vanhanen, IQ and the Wealth of Nations.

The extremely low average IQ of 70 for sub-Saharan Africans has been difficult for many people to accept. To determine for myself how realistic a figure it was, I traveled to South Africa to initiate a series of studies at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, one of the most prestigious universities in Africa. In the first study, we administered the Raven’s Standard Progressive Matrices to 173 African first year psychology students who scored at the 14th percentile on 1993 U.S. norms, giving them an average IQ of 84. In a second study, we administered the same test to another group of psychology students who scored an IQ of 83. After training on how to solve these types of tests, their IQs rose to 96. In a third study, we gave the same test to a more academically select student population -- 198 African engineering students who had taken mathematics and sciences courses in high school. This group scored at the 41st percentile with an IQ of 97. These results, from an elite university, showing mean IQ scores for African undergraduates ranging from 83 to 97, confirm the overall IQ of 70 for Africans because around the world university students typically score 15 to 30 IQ points above their population average.

Race differences in brain size and IQ, along with those in testosterone, have important implications for social behavior. For example, in the United States, Orientals are seen as a “model minority.” They have fewer divorces, out-of-wedlock births, and cases of child abuse than do Whites. More Orientals graduate from college and fewer go to prison. Blacks, on the other hand, are 12% of the American population but make up 50% of the prison population.

The racial pattern of crime in the U.S. is not due to local conditions like “White racism.” For nearly 20 years I have been monitoring the Interpol Yearbooks and publishing data on the worldwide crime statistics. These consistently show that the rate of violent crime (murder, rape, and serious assault) is about three times lower in East Asian and Pacific Rim countries than they are in African and Caribbean countries. Whites in European countries are intermediate. The 1996 rates of violent crime, for example, were: East Asian countries, 35 per 100,000 people; European countries, 42; and African and Caribbean countries, 149 (see Chart 5).

Orientals are the least sexually active, whether measured by age of first intercourse, intercourse frequency, or number of sexual partners. Blacks are the most active on all of these. Once again Whites fall in between. National surveys in Britain and the U.S., and international surveys by the World Health Organization, reveal the three-way racial pattern in sexual behavior. These racial differences, in turn, affect the rate of sexually transmitted diseases. For example, the latest figures from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (for the year 2000) shows the rate of chlamydia in African Americans is 10 times higher than it is for Whites, and for gonorrhea and syphilis the rate among Blacks is nearly 30 times the White rate.

Sadly, racial differences are also reflected in the current AIDS crisis. Over 40 million people around the world are living with HIV/AIDS. Chart 6 shows the HIV infection rates in various parts of the world based on the latest figures from UNAIDS (December 2001). The epidemic started in Black Africa in the late 1970s. Today 28 million adults there are living with HIV/AIDS. Over fifty percent of these are female. This shows that transmission is mainly heterosexual. Currently, nearly 9 out of every 100 Africans are infected with the AIDS virus and the epidemic is considered out of control. In several countries the AIDS rate is over 20%, including South Africa, where one in 5 adults is living with HIV/AIDS.

The HIV infection rate is also high in the Black Caribbean – 2.2%! The high rate of HIV/AIDS in the 2,000-mile band of Caribbean countries extends from Bermuda to Guyana, and it is highest in the Bahamas and in Haiti, where the rates are 4% and 5%, respectively.

Data published by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show that African Americans have HIV/AIDS rates similar to the Black Caribbean and parts of Black Africa. Three percent of Black men and 1% of Black women in the U.S. are living with HIV. The rate for White Americans is about 0.4%, while the rate for Asian Americans is less than 0.05%. Rates for Europe and the Pacific Rim are also low. Of course AIDS is a serious public health problem for all racial groups, but it is especially so for Africans and people of African descent.

Importantly, the races also differ in rate of ovulation. Not all women produce just one egg during the menstrual cycle. When two or more eggs are produced at the same time, pregnancy and the likelihood of producing two-egg twins are more likely. The number of such twins born is 16 out of every 1,000 births for Blacks, 8 out of every 1,000 births for Whites, and 4 or less for Orientals. Black women also average shorter menstrual cycles than White women. These and other data make it plain that the race differences in reproductive behavior are biological in nature.

Twin and adoption studies show that genes play a big part in athletic ability, brain size, IQ, and personality. Trans-racial adoption studies, where infants of one race are adopted and reared by parents of a different race, provide some of the strongest evidence that race differences are heritable. Oriental children, even if malnourished before being adopted by White parents, go on to have IQs above the White average. Black infants adopted into middle-class White families end up with IQs lower than the White average. Some of these data are summarized in Chart 7.

The Evolution of Racial Differences

Look back again at all the traits in Chart 1. They form a pattern. Whites consistently average between Orientals and Blacks in dozens of areas. Also, the groups with the largest brains have the lowest rates of two-egg twinning! Why? The answer lies in evolution. No purely cultural theory can explain all of these traits taken together. There is, however, a gene-based explanation that explicitly involves the trade-off between reproductive effort (twinning rates) and brain size. The patterns make up what is called a “life-history.” They evolved together to meet the trials of life -- survival, growth, and reproduction.

I have explained the racial pattern in brain size, intelligence, and other traits using a gene-based life-history theory that evolutionary biologists call the r-K scale of reproductive strategies. At one end of this scale are r-strategies that rely on high reproductive rates. At the other end are K-strategies that rely on high levels of parental care. This scale is generally used to compare the life histories of different species of animals. I have used it to explain the smaller but real differences between the human races.

On this scale, Orientals are more K-selected than Whites, while Whites are more K-selected than Blacks. Highly K-selected women produce fewer eggs (and have bigger brains) than r-selected women. Highly K-selected men invest time and energy in their children rather than the pursuit of sexual thrills. They are “dads” rather than “cads.”

Race differences also make sense in terms of human evolution. Modern humans evolved in Africa about 200,000 years ago. Africans and non-Africans then split about 110,000 years ago. Orientals and Whites split about 40,000 years ago, around the time that modern humans were first in Europe. Analyses of DNA sequencing, along with the fossil and archaeological record, demonstrate this sequence, as does the pattern of traits shown in Chart 1.

The further north people went out of Africa, the harder it was to get food, gain shelter, make clothes, and raise children. So the groups that evolved into today’s Whites and Orientals needed larger brains, more family stability, and a longer life. But building a bigger brain takes time and energy so there is a trade off with slower rates of growth, lower levels of sex hormones, less aggression, and less sexual activity. Thus came about the pattern of traits in Chart 1.

What are the implications of this research? One is, obviously, that race is a valid taxonomic construct. If it were not it would have no reliable predictive value and we would not find the same racial pattern all around the world and over time. The fact that, on average, African-descended children are born with smaller brains than European- or East Asian-descended children, regardless of where in the diasporas the children are located, allows reliable predictions to be made about their future academic and occupational achievement. Similarly, the fact that throughout the world Blacks have a stronger sex drive than Whites or East Asians explains why Black Americans, Black Caribbeans, and sub-Saharan Africans have the highest rates of sexually transmitted diseases, and why East Asians have even lower rates than Whites.

A second implication is that “White racism” is not responsible for all of society’s problems. Black underachievement is not simply due to “White prejudice.” It is more deeply rooted. On average, Black children are born with smaller brains than White or East Asian children. Pointing this out is not constructing stereotypes, it is simply observing facts as they are. Both science and justice call for us to seek and tell the truth, not to tell lies and spread error.

Another implication is that we have to accept that racial differences will not just disappear. Hitherto, most theories in the behavioral sciences have assumed that all human populations have equal abilities to achieve equal levels of social development. We need to accept the existence of the evolved diversity of human populations.

Sometimes it is claimed by those who argue that race is just a social construct that the human genome project shows that because people share 99% of their “genes” in common, that there are no races. This is silly. Human genes are 98% similar to chimpanzee genes. Yet no one thinks that chimpanzees have the same intelligence, brain size, or social behavior patterns as human beings; they look and behave very differently. In fact humans share 90% of their genes with mice, which is why we can use them to test drug therapies. Similarly, although men and women are genetically 99% the same, it is foolish to believe that sex is just a “social construction.”

Much confusion arises because there are several sets of genetic measures. A much more realistic story comes from looking at the 3.1 billion base pairs that make up the 30,000 genes. People differ in 1 out of every 1,000 of these base pairs. Each change in a base pair can alter a gene. Technically, base pair differences are called single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs). Base pair differences are important and SNPs clump together in races. Just one change in the base pair for hemoglobin, for example, causes sickle-cell anemia, from which many Blacks suffer. Other base pair differences affect IQ, aggression, and mental illness. The 3.1 billion base pairs provide plenty of room for large racial differences.

In summary, the same racial pattern would not occur so consistently all around the world and over time if race were a mere social construct. If it were a meaningless construct, it would have no power to predict phenomena like brain size, growth rate, life span, crime, and family stability. Other evidence also shows that race is a biological reality. For example, coroners in crime labs can identify race from a skeleton or even just the skull. They can even identify race from blood, hair, or semen. How could they do this if race was only a social construct? The scientific evidence shows that the politically correct mantra “race is just skin deep” is a case of deep denial.

At some point in the coming decades the irrational belief in equality will crumble under the weight of its own preposterousness, which will have led Western Civilization into a Second Dark Ages.

When those false walls come tumbling down, a paradigm shift will occur in human development which will lead us back to where the reality of race left off in the 1930's.

On the eve of the 2009 Bilderberg Group conference, which is due to be held May 14-17 at the 5 star Nafsika Astir Palace Hotel in Vouliagmeni, Greece, investigative reporter Daniel Estulin has uncovered shocking details of what the elitists plan to do with the economy over the course of the next year.

The Bilderberg Group meeting is an annual confab of around 150 of the world’s most influential powerbrokers in government, industry, banking, media, academia and the military-industrial complex. The secretive group operates under “Chatham House rules,” meaning that no details of what is discussed can ever be leaked to the media, despite editors of the world’s biggest newspapers, the Washington Post, the New York Times and the Financial Times, being present at the meeting.

According to Estulin’s sources, which have been proven highly accurate in the past, Bilderberg is divided on whether to put into motion, “Either a prolonged, agonizing depression that dooms the world to decades of stagnation, decline and poverty … or an intense-but-shorter depression that paves the way for a new sustainable economic world order, with less sovereignty but more efficiency.”

The information takes on added weight when one considers the fact that Estulin’s previous economic forecasts, which were based on leaks from the same sources, have proven deadly accurate. Estulin correctly predicted the housing crash and the 2008 financial meltdown as a result of what his sources inside Bilderberg told him the elite were planning based on what was said at their 2006 meeting in Canada and the 2007 conference in Turkey.

Details of the economic agenda were contained in a pre-meeting booklet being handed out to Bilderberg members. On a more specific note, Estulin warns that Bilderberg are fostering a false picture of economic recovery, suckering investors into ploughing their money back into the stock market again only to later unleash another massive downturn which will create “massive losses and searing financial pain in the months ahead,” according to a Canada Free Press report.

According to Estulin, Bilderberg is assuming that U.S. unemployment figures will reach around 14% by the end of the year, almost doubling the current official figure of 8.1 per cent.

Estulin’s sources also tell him that Bilderberg will again attempt to push for the enactment of the Lisbon Treaty, a key centerpiece of the agenda to fully entrench a federal EU superstate, by forcing the Irish to vote again on the document in September/October despite having rejected it already, along with other European nations, in national referendums.

“One of their concerns is addressing and neutralizing the anti-Lisbon treaty movement called “Libertas” led by Declan Ganley. One of the Bilderberger planned moves is to use a whispering campaign in the US media suggested that Ganley is being funded by arms dealers in the US linked to the US military,” reports CFP.

Daniel Estulin, Jim Tucker, and other sources who have infiltrated Bilderberg meetings in the past have routinely provided information about the Bilderberg agenda that later plays out on the world stage, proving that the organization is not merely a “talking shop” as debunkers claim, but an integral planning forum for the new world order agenda.

Indeed, just last month Belgian viscount and current Bilderberg-chairman Étienne Davignon bragged that Bilderberg helped create the Euro by first introducing the policy agenda for a single currency in the early 1990’s. Bilderberg’s agenda for a European federal superstate and a single currency likely goes back even further. A BBC investigation uncovered documents from the early Bilderberg meetings which confirmed that the European Union was a brainchild of Bilderberg.

In spring 2002, when war hawks in the Bush administration were pushing for a summer invasion of Iraq, Bilderbergers expressed their desire for a delay and the attack was not launched until March the following year.

In 2006, Estulin predicted that the U.S. housing market would be allowed to soar before the bubble was cruelly popped, which is exactly what transpired.

In 2008, Estulin predicted that Bilderberg were creating the conditions for a financial calamity, which is exactly what began a few months later with the collapse of Lehman Brothers.

Bilderberg has routinely flexed its muscles in establishing its role as kingmaker. The organization routinely selects presidential candidates as well as running mates and prime ministers.

Bill Clinton and Tony Blair were both groomed by the secretive organization in the early 1990’s before rising to prominence.

Barack Obama’s running mate Joe Biden was selected by Bilderberg luminary James A. Johnson, and John Kerry’s 2004 running mate John Edwards was also anointed by the group after he gave a glowing speech at the conference in 2004. Bilderberg attendees even broke house rules to applaud Edwards at the end of a speech he gave to the elitists about American politics. The choice of Edwards was shocking to media pundits who had fully expected Dick Gephardt to secure the position. The New York Post even reported that Gephardt had been chosen and “Kerry-Gephardt” stickers were being placed on campaign vehicles before being removed when Edwards was announced as Kerry’s number two.

A 2008 Portuguese newspaper report highlighted the fact that Pedro Santana Lopes and Jose Socrates attended the 2004 meeting in Stresa, Italy before both going on to become Prime Minster of Portugal.

Several key geopolitical decisions were made at last year’s Bilderberg meeting in Washington DC, again emphasizing the fact that the confab is far more than an informal get-together.

As we reported at the time, Bilderberg were concerned that the price of oil was accelerating too fast after it hit $150 a barrel and wanted to ensure that “oil prices would probably begin to decline”. This is exactly what happened in the latter half of 2008 as oil again sunk below $50 a barrel. We were initially able to predict the rapid rise in oil prices in 2005 when oil was at $40, because Bilderberg had called for prices to rise during that year’s meeting in Munich. During the conference in Germany, Henry Kissinger told his fellow attendees that the elite had resolved to ensure that oil prices would double over the course of the next 12-24 months, which is exactly what happened.

Also at last year’s meeting, former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice formalized plans to sign a treaty on installing a U.S. radar base in the Czech Republic with Czech Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg.

Rice was joined at the meeting by Defense Secretary Robert Gates, who reportedly encouraged EU globalists to get behind an attack on Iran. Low and behold, days later the EU threatened Iran with sanctions if it did not suspend its nuclear enrichment program.

There was also widespread speculation that Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama’s “secret meeting,” which was accomplished with the aid of cloak and dagger tactics like locking journalists on an airplane to keep them from tracking the two down, took place at the Bilderberg meeting in DC.

It remains to be seen what kind of mainstream media press coverage Bilderberg 2009 will be afforded because, despite the proven track record of Bilderberg having a central role in influencing subsequent geopolitical and financial world events, and despite last year’s meeting being held in Washington DC, the U.S. corporate media oversaw an almost universal blackout of reporting on the conference, its attendees, and what was discussed.

Once again, it will be left to the alternative media to fill the vacuum and educate the people on exactly what the globalists have planned for us over the coming year.

BNP's Simon Darby:“I Will Not Be Intimidated”

“I will not be intimidated by threats to my right to earn a living and I will not apologise or retract a single word,” was the reaction of British National Party deputy leader Simon Darby to the latest in an increased number of media smears against the party in the run-up to the June Euro elections.

Reacting specifically to media stories alleging that he “might” be called to “answer” for his remarks about former Bishop of Birmingham John Sentamu not having the right to define who is British, Mr Darby said, “Apart from the truly Stalinist state of affairs, the aspect of this whole affair that really insults me is that my detractors and persecutors really do believe that if they put enough pressure on me then I will renounce what I have said.”

Writing on his blog, Mr Darby said that in case “any of them are reading this, here is what is going to happen:

“1. I will not apologise or retract a single word.

“2. I will not be intimidated by people threatening to withdraw my right to earn a living.

“3. The public will be made aware that BNP politicians mean what they say and are not cowed into submission by people who assume that money is the be all and end all.

“The reason I can remain strong and defiant is that I know there are so many of you out there who feel just like me. You wouldn’t want me to let you down and that’s why I will not, no matter how much pressure they think they can put on me.”

Mr Darby told BNP News that the media was working itself up into a “terrified frenzy” at the thought of the BNP winning a seat in the European elections, and would increasingly resort to disinformation spewed out by Communist Party front organisations to manufacture the most ridiculous and outrageous smears against the party.

In his own case, the media has now claimed that a Greater London Assembly “investigation” is underway after he described the Ugandan-born Mr Sentamu as an

“ambitious African” and that if he (Mr Darby) had dared tell the Ugandans that they were mongrels who had no right to decide who was a Ugandan, he would “still be picking the spears out of himself.”

The media has claimed that the mayor of London, the Tory Boris Johnson, has “raised concerns” over Mr Darby’s comments. This is ironic, as Mr Johnson’s own Policy Director is a former journalist, Anthony Browne, who wrote an excellent book called Do we Need Mass Immigration. This book utterly refutes all liberal arguments as used by Mr Johnson in favour of mass Third World immigration and the invader amnesty supported by the Tory London mayor. “Not only do I have to acquiesce and bow down to the doctrine of liberal multiculturalism in order to be afforded the opportunity of working for a living but I also have to actively promote an ideology that is quite literally destroying my country and my people,” continued Mr Darby. “Failure to do so will result in the termination of my employment even though my objections to the eradication of the British people and their way of life take place out of office and in my own personal time.”

Mr Darby warned all BNP supporters to be prepared for a renewed wave of smears and attacks on the BNP over the next few weeks. “Their fear will provoke the controlled media into making more and more absurd allegations. All of them will of course miss the mark: the reason why people are turning to the BNP is because of Tory and Labour policies, and no-one is going to be scared off by their made-up lies.”

Six Isrealies Arested In California For Drug Trafficking

LOS ANGELES - A man suspected of being one of Israel's most powerful crime bosses is charged with using a Los Angeles gang to distribute a million Ecstasy pills and paying one of the gang's members to kill a man for stealing a large drug shipment.

Itzhak Abergil, who prosecutors believe is one of the largest importers of narcotics into the United States, is among seven men listed in a 32-count federal indictment that alleges murder and international drug trafficking.

Abergil and his brother Mier Abergil were arrested Sunday in Israel. They face extradition to Los Angeles, where Itzhak Abergil would be charged with murder and his brother with racketeering and conspiracy.

The others listed on the indictment include four Israelis and a Los Angeles man suspected of being part of the gang that worked with the Abergils.

"This is a significant racketeering case involving alleged criminal activity spanning the globe," said Thom Mrozek, spokesman for the U.S. attorney's office in California.

The indictment alleges the Abergil family is a small but powerful group with a "propensity for violence in Israel and around the world." The family and another group allegedly used members of the Vineland Boyz gang to traffic Ecstasy.

Prosecutors said Itzhak Abergil is one of the 40 biggest importers of narcotics into the U.S. and has been under investigation for more than five years.

Itzhak Abergil called the allegations "police provocation" at a custody hearing Tuesday. "I have never been to the United States," he said in a Jerusalem Post story.

The indictment said the Abergil organization had previously been involved in bank embezzlement in Israel and engaged in illegal activities in the U.S. to launder those proceeds.

Three other suspects were arrested in Israel and a fourth there was still at large.

Authorities were also looking for Luis Sandoval, who is accused of being a senior Vineland Boyz member who planned the killing of Sami Atias in 2003.

Atias and two associates allegedly stole about 350,000 Ecstasy tablets before Atias was shot in the head. The indictment does not identify who pulled the trigger.

Itzhak Abergil and Sandoval are charged with murder and face life in prison if convicted. Mier Abergil could face more than 50 years each in prison.

ACORN workers charged with forging voter registrations

Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen A. Zappala Jr. today charged seven employees of ACORN -- the left-leaning Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now -- with forgery and election law violations, saying they filed hundreds of fraudulent voter registrations during last year's general election.

Mr. Zappala said there is no indication that any of the fraudulent registrations resulted in fraudulent votes. Rather, it appeared the workers were submitting fake or doctored registration forms in order to be paid their daily $40 wage.

The forgery counts -- 51 in all -- are third-degree felonies, the most serious of the charges brought, Mr. Zappala said during a press conference today.

Mr. Zappala said his office is currently in talks with some of the defendants and he indicated that the investigation could expand. In all, ACORN claimed to have registered 38,000 voters in Allegheny County last year, he said.

At present, he said, he has strong indications that a quota system, which is a misdemeanor in Pennsylvania, was in place in the ACORN registration drive here.

Charged were:

Ashley Lucille Clarke, 21, of Pittsburgh with forgery, solicitation of registration for pay, unsworn falsification of authorities, obstructing the administration of law or government function, interference with voter registration, and impersonating another person in a voter registration application.

Alexis M. Givner, 23, of West Mifflin, forgery, solicitation, unsworn falsification, obstruction, interference and impersonation.

Mario Wyatt Grisom, 28, of Pittsburgh, with forgery, solicitation, unsworn falsification, obstruction, interference and impersonation. Mr. Zappala said Mr. Grisom solicited a county elections office employee for a registration. The person filled out the form with everything but a name and social security number by way of testing what would happen, according to elections director Mark Wolosik. The form was later submitted by ACORN with a forged signature and false social security number.

Latasha Leann Kinney, 27, no address listed, forgery, solicitation, unsworn falsification, obstruction, interference and impersonation.

Eric Eugene Jordan, 19, of Pittsburgh, solicitation for pay and interference. He is accused of filing three applications in his own name in order to meet his daily quota.

Eric Lee Jones, 20, of Pittsburgh, forgery, solicitation, unsworn falsification, obstruction and interference. He is accused of filing 30 fraudulent applications.

Bryan Williams, 22, of McKeesport, obstruction and interference. Mr. Williams is accused of filing 22 registration applications in his own name -- including 19 in 2008 alone -- apparently to meet his daily quota.

He said at least one of the ACORN registration workers had been fired from the group in 2006 for submitting fraudulent registrations, but was hired for last year's drive.

Two of the workers charged today were already in custody. Mr. Jordan was served his warrant at the Allegheny County Jail, where he is being held on DUI and gun charges. Mr. Williams, officials said, was served his summons at a halfway house.

The charges are part of a continuing investigation of ACORN, which has been targeted for election fraud in several other states where similar, fake voter registrations were filed by hourly employees apparently attempting to meet daily registration quotas in order to be paid.

In some states -- including Pennsylvania -- registration quotas are illegal. In Nevada, which has a similar statute, the state attorney general on Monday charged ACORN, its former Nevada field director and former regional director for voter registration with filing thousands of "garbage" registrations in order to meet an illegal daily quota of 20 new voters.

ACORN officials have denied those charges.

On October 16, 2004, President George W. Bush signed the Israel Lobby’s bill, the Global Anti-Semitism Review Act. This legislation requires the US Department of State to monitor anti-semitism world wide.

To monitor anti-semitism, it has to be defined. What is the definition? Basically, as defined by the Israel Lobby and Abe Foxman, it boils down to any criticism of Israel or Jews.

Rahm Israel Emanuel hasn’t been mopping floors at the White House.
As soon as he gets the Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009 passed, it will become a crime for any American to tell the truth about Israel’s treatment of Palestinians and theft of their lands.

It will be a crime for Christians to acknowledge the New Testament’s account of Jews demanding the crucifixion of Jesus.

It will be a crime to report the extraordinary influence of the Israel Lobby on the White House and Congress, such as the AIPAC-written resolutions praising Israel for its war crimes against the Palestinians in Gaza that were endorsed by 100 per cent of the US Senate and 99 per cent of the House of Representatives, while the rest of the world condemned Israel for its barbarity.

It will be a crime to doubt the Holocaust.

It will become a crime to note the disproportionate representation of Jews in the media, finance, and foreign policy.

In other words, it means the end of free speech, free inquiry, and the First Amendment to the Constitution. Any facts or truths that cast aspersion upon Israel will simply be banned.

Given the hubris of the US government, which leads Washington to apply US law to every country and organization, what will happen to the International Red Cross, the United Nations Commission on Human Rights, and the various human rights organizations that have demanded investigations of Israel’s military assault on Gaza’s civilian population? Will they all be arrested for the hate crime of “excessive” criticism of Israel?

This is a serious question.

A recent UN report, which is yet to be released in its entirety, blames Israel for the deaths and injuries that occurred within the United Nations premises in Gaza. The Israeli government has responded by charging that the UN report is “tendentious, patently biased,” which puts the UN report into the State Department’s category of excessive criticism and strong anti-Israel sentiment.

Israel is getting away with its blatant use of the American government to silence its critics despite the fact that the Israeli press and Israeli soldiers have exposed the Israeli atrocities in Gaza and the premeditated murder of women and children urged upon the Israeli invaders by rabbis. These acts are clearly war crimes.

It was the Israeli press that published the pictures of the Israeli soldiers’ T-shirts that indicate that the willful murder of women and children is now the culture of the Israeli army. The T-shirts are horrific expressions of barbarity. For example, one shows a pregnant Palestinian woman with a crosshairs over her stomach and the slogan, “One shot, two kills.” These T-shirts are an indication that Israel’s policy toward the Palestinians is one of extermination.

It has been true for years that the most potent criticism of Israel’s mistreatment of the Palestinians comes from the Israeli press and Israeli peace groups. For example, the Israeli newspaper Haaretz and Jeff Halper of ICAHD have shown a moral conscience that apparently does not exist in the Western democracies where Israel’s crimes are covered up and even praised.

Will the American hate crime bill be applied to Haaretz and Jeff Halper? Will American commentators who say nothing themselves but simply report what Haaretz and Halper have said be arrested for “spreading hatred of Israel, an anti-semitic act”?

Many Americans have been brainwashed by the propaganda that Palestinians are terrorists who threaten innocent Israel. These Americans will see the censorship as merely part of the necessary war on terror. They will accept the demonization of fellow citizens who report unpalatable facts about Israel and agree that such people should be punished for aiding and abetting terrorists.

A massive push is underway to criminalize criticism of Israel. American university professors have fallen victim to the well organized attempt to eliminate all criticism of Israel. Norman Finkelstein was denied tenure at a Catholic university because of the power of the Israel Lobby. Now the Israel Lobby is after University of California (at Santa Barbara,) professor Wiliam Robinson. Robinson’s crime: his course on global affairs included some reading assignments critical of Israel’s invasion of Gaza.

The Israel Lobby apparently succeeded in convincing the Obama Justice (sic) Department that it is anti-semitic to accuse two Jewish AIPAC officials, Steven Rosen and Keith Weissman, of spying. The Israel Lobby succeeded in getting their trial delayed for four years, and now Attorney General Eric Holder has dropped charges. Yet, Larry Franklin, the DOD official accused of giving secret material to Rosen and Weissman, is serving 12 years and 7 months in prison.

The absurdity is extraordinary. The two Israeli agents are not guilty of receiving secrets, but the American official is guilty of giving secrets to them! If there is no spy in the story, how was Franklin convicted of giving secrets to a spy?

Criminalizing criticism of Israel destroys any hope of America having an independent foreign policy in the Middle East that serves American rather than Israeli interests. It eliminates any prospect of Americans escaping from their enculturation with Israeli propaganda.

To keep American minds captive, the Lobby is working to ban as anti-semitic any truth or disagreeable fact that pertains to Israel. It is permissible to criticize every other country in the world, but it is anti-semitic to criticize Israel, and anti-semitism will soon be a universal hate-crime in the Western world.

Most of Europe has already criminalized doubting the Holocaust. It is a crime even to confirm that it happened but to conclude that less than 6 million Jews were murdered.

Why is the Holocaust a subject that is off limits to examination? How could a case buttressed by hard facts possibly be endangered by kooks and anti-semitics? Surely the case doesn’t need to be protected by thought control.

Imprisoning people for doubts is the antithesis of modernity.

College Student Bravely Defends Against Massacre

COLLEGE PARK, Ga. -- A group of college students said they are lucky to be alive and they’re thanking the quick-thinking of one of their own. Police said a fellow student shot and killed one of two masked me who burst into an apartment.

Channel 2 Action News reporter Tom Jones met with one of the students to talk about the incident.

“Apparently, his intent was to rape and murder us all,” said student Charles Bailey.

Bailey said he thought it was the end of his life and the lives of the 10 people inside his apartment for a birthday party after two masked men with guns burst in through a patio door.

“They just came in and separated the men from the women and said, ‘Give me your wallets and cell phones,’” said George Williams of the College Park Police Department.

Bailey said the gunmen started counting bullets. “The other guy asked how many (bullets) he had. He said he had enough,” said Bailey.

That’s when one student grabbed a gun out of a backpack and shot at the invader who was watching the men. The gunman ran out of the apartment.

The student then ran to the room where the second gunman, identified by police as 23-year-old Calvin Lavant, was holding the women.

“Apparently the guy was getting ready to rape his girlfriend. So he told the girls to get down and he started shooting. The guy jumped out of the window,” said Bailey.

A neighbor heard the shots and heard someone running nearby.

“And I heard someone say, ‘Someone help me. Call the police. Somebody call the police,’” said a neighbor.

The neighbor said she believes it was Lavant, who was found dead near his apartment, only one building away.

Bailey said he is just thankful one student risked his life to keep others alive.

“I think all of us are really cognizant of the fact that we could have all been killed,” said Bailey.

One female student was shot several times during the crossfire. She is expected to make a full recovery.

Police said they are close to making the arrest of the second suspect.

Australian Protectionist Party tells the unpleasant truth.

The brutal bashing of an young man at Sunshine train station, in Melbourne, has once again highlighted the problems of crime associated with the immigration of large numbers of black Africans into Australia.

Professor Andrew Fraser warned us all in 2005 about these dangers, when he said “Experience practically everywhere in the world tells us that an expanding black population is a sure-fire recipe for increases in crime, violence and a wide range of other social problems”. Fraser was persecuted by the so-called “Human Rights” industry for telling the truth.

We must remember that societies become more and more authoritarian when they fall under the rule of regimes that push political multiculturalism and political correctness. Under Liberal-Labor’s politically-motivated multiculturalism laws, telling the truth can be illegal - but if we aren’t able to tell the truth, then who will?

Whilst every society, ethnic group and race all have a percentage of people that commit violent crimes, research shows us that this percentage is significantly higher amongst black African males; to be quite clear, this does not mean that all of them are violent criminals, but that - compared to the general population - a higher percentage of black African males are more likely to commit crimes of violence. This is a fact, as shown by crime statistics in countries such as Australia, England and the USA.

Newspaper reports in Australia have confirmed the higher crime rates of black Africans. For instance, the Herald Sun revealed that whilst the general rate of alleged crimes was 1 in 85, the rate for Somalians was 1 in 23. Political multiculturalists may offer all sorts of excuses as to why the black African crime rate is so much higher, blaming poverty, war trauma, etc., but the fact remains that their crime rate is indeed higher.

This is not a matter of faceless “statistics”, but of real people suffering as victims of crime - it is about real people being hurt, disabled and killed. These higher crime “statistics” could mean your brother is bashed, your sister is raped, or your friend is murdered. Higher crime rates are about real people.

If we can choose between bringing in immigrants from a European people with a low crime rate, or from an African people with a high crime rate, who would choose the high crime option?

The fact is that political multiculturalists are extremists. They would rather have thousands more Australians being bashed, raped or murdered, rather than admit their mistake and halt the immigration of black Africans.

Who is to blame? It is the politicians and multiculturalists who are the problem. It is high time that we dumped the extremist ideologies of political multiculturalism and political correctness. It’s time that we started to protect Australians - and protect our nation’s future.

The Constitution Party of Idaho doesn't think I am good enough to be a common member, let alone a candidate for state office on its ticket in 2010. Chairman Paul Venable said so when he returned my membership application with the the word "REJECTED" stamped across its face in giant, red block letters.

Good Enough

I've been good enough to vote for Constitution Party candidates since the days it called itself the Taxpayers' Party.

I've been good enough to get out the vote for Constitution Party candidates, as followers of my writings well know.

Readers will recall that I encouraged financially supporting Constitution Party candidates in the past, notably Chuck Baldwin, 2008 candidate for President on the party ticket.

I was good enough to generate tons of support and money for Ron Paul, who ultimately endorsed Chuck Baldwin.

My family was good enough to contribute money with which we could ill afford to part.

Not Good Enough

But I'm not good enough to be a member of the very party I have supported so vigorously down through the years.

I'm not good enough to help select Idaho Constitution Party officers or participate in crafting its agenda or message.

I'm not good enough.

Paul Venable, Idaho Constitution Party Chairman, says so.

REJECTED

"REJECTED." That's Mr. Venable's opinion of my worthiness to be even a rank-and-file member of the Idaho Constitution Party.

That's why I won't be allowed to vote at the upcoming North Idaho Constitution Party organizational meeting to be held in Coeur d'Alene just three days from now. Though I will attend this meeting at which officers will be elected, I anticipate that Mr. Venable, who has called the meeting, will have me removed because I am not a member - by force, if necessary. It could be quite a spectacle. You should come watch if you are in the area Wednesday night.

Why was I found unfit for membership? Well, you will have to ask Mr. Venable, since he never bothered to give me a reason for stamping "REJECTED" on my membership application, but I presume it is because he disapproves of my writings on race relations in America. You see, Paul Venable is Black. During my one phone conversation with Mr. Venable, he made it clear that he disapproved of my writings on race, though I had the distinct impression that he had read only out-of-context excerpts like the one he threw in my face. He admitted to never even having looked at my book.

Despite telling me that they were thinking of not even running a candidate for governor, so as to concentrate on more "winnable" races, it was during that phone conversation with Mr. Venable, in which I had sought the party's blessing to run as Governor on the party ticket, that he pledged to "find someone" to run against me in the 2010 Idaho Constitution Party primary election for nomination for Governor if I decide to run, anyway.

A Nation of Cowards

Recently, Black US Attorney General Eric Holder stated that we are a "nation of cowards" because we are afraid to discuss race. He was right. I promptly sat down and wrote Mr. Holder a letter, enclosing a copy of my book, Defensive Racism, An Unapologetic Examination of Racial Differences as evidence of the fact that not all Americans have been afraid to discuss race.

I sent another copy of my book under cover of a similar letter to President Obama. Mr. Holder sent back a nice note, thanking me. I like to think that I haven't received anything similar from the White House because Mr. Obama is waiting to finish reading it before acknowledging my attempt to discuss race with him via my book. After all, he did promise to be President for all of us.

Already a member of the National Constitution Party, I applied for membership to the Idaho State chapter because I have been considering running for Governor in next year's election on the Constitution Party ticket. Like Chuck Baldwin, who merely is "affiliated" with the Constitution Party, I previously have avoided joining any parties or groups so as to maintain the degree of separation necessary for credibility both in courtrooms and outside them.

You see, for years I have defended, for free, oppressed members of American society in courts up and down the West Coast on matters where important Constitutional rights were being trampled by our increasingly-authoritarian governmental authorities. These have been largely futile efforts, of course. "There is no justice for the politically incorrect," as I like to say.

Or, as Attorney General Holder says of those who, like I, attempt to discuss race in America: We risk "...at best embarrassment and at worst the questioning of one's character."

Well, Mr. Holder was absolutely correct, because Paul Venable apparently thinks I lack the character necessary to be an ordinary member of the Idaho Constitution Party.

Never mind my years of unstinting dedication to defending the Constitution in courtrooms against all comers, at the expense of my career.

Never mind all the writing I have done defending Constitutional principles - principles that Mr. Venable discards out of hand by rejecting me.

Never mind the individual rights guaranteed to each and every American, regardless of race, creed or religion, by the US Constitution.

Constitutional Irony

The irony of Paul Venable and the Idaho Constitution Party denying me mere membership in the state chapter of the party will not be lost upon students of the US Constitution, since Mr. Venable thereby denies me many of the rights guaranteed every American under the US Constitution:

By denying me membership in the Idaho Constitution Party, Paul Venable denies my constitutional right to run for office.

Paul Venable and the Idaho Constitution Party deny my constitutional right to free speech because I am not allowed to speak out during local party meetings.

Paul Venable and the Idaho Constitution Party deny my constitutional right to free association because I am not allowed to attend local Constitution Party meetings.

Paul Venable denies me equal protection under the law because others who have not personally offended him are allowed to be members, to speak out during meetings and, even, to run for office.

Paul Venable and the Idaho Constitution Party deny me my constitutional right to due process by summarily rejecting me without providing reasons or an opportunity to appeal or, even, to be heard concerning my party membership rejection.

I could go on, but you get the idea.

Who Will Save the Constitution?

Reportedly, when Mr. Venable, a newcomer from Ohio, first arrived in North Idaho to help organize the local chapter of the Idaho Constitution Party, he announced that he was "here to save the Constitution" for us local residents.

Who is going to save the Constitution, not to mention the Constitution Party, from Paul Venable?

Indeed, since Mr. Venable gets to reject members at all, let alone without cause, leads one to ask just how one becomes a member of the Idaho Constitution Party unless one first passes muster with Mr. Venable's personal prejudices.

Yes, Let's Do Talk About Race and Racism

Whites in America have suffered affirmative action due to a false sense of guilt about the treatment of blacks we never knew by whites with whom we have nothing in common except skin color. Today's action by Paul Venable and the Idaho Constitution Party makes clear that we merely were trading places with those who had been discriminated against in the past.

I long have spoken out against affirmative action, racial quotas, set-asides and racial preferences of every stripe. The racial pendulum has swung much too far in America and it is long past time that we brought it back to center and rendered true equality among the races.

We offered Blacks equal opportunity, but they have demanded and received equal outcome, with no regard for merit in the process.

We offered Blacks a leg up, but they have rewarded us by stepping upon us in the process.

Enough, I say. Far too much, in fact.

Clearly, Paul Venable is a racist in every sense of the word.

This abjectly racist conduct by Paul Venable and, through him, the Idaho Constitution Party cannot be allowed to stand. If you allow them to do it to me, they can do it to anybody, including you ... and will, rest assured.

1. Demand my immediate instatement as a member in good standing of the Idaho Constitution Party.

2. Demand Paul Venable's resignation as Idaho's party chairman so that he is unable to continue his campaign of perversion of the very principles upon which the Constitution Party is founded.

An economics professor at Texas Tech said he had failed very few students but had, once, failed an entire class. That class had insisted that Communism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer. The professor then said, "Ok, we will have an experiment in this class on Communism."

"All grades will be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade meaning, obviously, no one will receive an A." They all agreed to this. After the first test the grades were averaged and everyone got a C. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy.

But, as the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too, so they studied little. The second test average was a D! No one was happy. When the 3rd test rolled around the average was an F.

The scores never increased as bickering, blame and name calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else. To their great dismay the professor failed them all. Then he sent all of them this note: "A Communistic government will also ultimately fail - because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great, but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed."

Ten Ways Barack Obama Is Destroying America

I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that Barack Obama is damaging America more than any other president in its history. Here are ten of the biggest ways Obama is destroying America.

1. He's running up crushing federal debt at a level unprecedented in American history. We are talking trillions upon trillions of dollars in debt. This ensures the the future will bring ruinous taxes, runaway inflation, or eventual financial collapse.

2. He has endorsed and benefited from systematic violation of election and campaign funding laws. His election saw widespread voter registration fraud from his allies at ACORN and systematic acceptance of dubious campaign donations by disabling normal credit card verification procedures for online donations, allowing donations to be made from foreign donors and from donors using fictitious names. This in turned allowed donors to skirt donation limits if they wished, simply by using bogus names. In the "stimulus" bill, Obama has funded ACORN and similar groups to the tune of billions.

3. Obama has endorsed, and will continue to foster, the entitlement mentality, playing the victim, and mob rule. A typical moment was his warning to bank executives that it was only his administration standing between executives and the mobs with pitchforks. Not mentioned was the fact that Obama's pals at ACORN were the number one wielders of the pitchforks. Obama is also ushering in socialism at a breathtaking pace. Soon, no major expense in a normal human life will be paid for by the individual. Every major expense, from housing to advanced education to medical care, will be paid for by Big Brother. Incentives to work will be destroyed for both the "rich" and the "poor." We will all soon be poorer as a result.

4. Obama is gearing up to politicize and manipulate the Census to an unprecedented degree. Given the Obama campaign's and Obama administration's other manipulations, I believe it is extremely unlikely that Obama will not end up over counting "homeless," illegal aliens, and other Democratic Party interest groups. The result will be to unlawfully shift power to blue states, cementing control of the nation in the hands of statists.

5. Obama is trampling, penalizing, micromanaging, and destroying American business to an unprecedented degree, ahd he's just getting started. Already we see major automakers about to fail (of course, this is primarily the result of the power labor unions have wielded in the auto industry), we see banks failing and being taken over, and we see restaurants, retailers, and companies in the construction business struggling and failing. To reiterate: Obama is just getting started. It is a terrible time to own a business in America.

6. Obama is lending aid, money, and support to tyrannies and terrorists. From getting chummy with Hugo Chavez to releasing dangerous GITMO terrorists to handing almost a billion dollars to Palestinian terrorists, Obama has yet to meet a terrorist or tyrant he doesn't seem to like.

7. Obama is discounting and attempting to undermine America's Christian and Judeo- (-Ed) Christian culture. By constantly treating Christianity as the moral equivalent of atheism and Islam in his public pronouncements -- and by proclaiming that America is no longer a Christian nation (even though about 80% of Americans still believe in the resurrection of Christ), Obama is turning his back on America's great strength.

8. Obama is retroactively criminalizing innocent behavior and excusing unlawful behavior. He appoints tax cheats to his administration and then treats AIG executives as criminals, retroactively imposing 90% taxes on bonuses. He frees GITMO terrorists who tried to kill Americans, and then threatens to prosecute lawyers who gave legal opinions on torture -- and broke no laws in doing so.

9. He is rapidly ceding the Middle East back to terrorists and tyrants. He is trying to cozy up to Iran but, more importantly, he is withdrawing troops from Iraq even as violence escalates, risking the loss of that country in the infancy of its democracy. He is moving too slowly and ineffectually in Afghanistan as dangers grow in Pakistan. He is letting the Taliban gain strength to the point where it now threatens to take over Pakistan and its nuclear arsenal.

10. I've saved the worst for last. Obama has already reduced funding for missile defense and threatens to eliminate the program entirely. Yet missile defense is the only potential defense against nuclear missile threats from a growing number of terrorists and tyrants around the world. This dereliction of duty on Obama's part could result in the deaths of millions.

Barack Obama is destroying America. It is up to Americans to realize the danger and rise up against this destruction before it is too late.

An education bubble? Data from the explosion of AP tests

A simple but powerful way to determine whether or not there's a irrational bubble is to look for a lot of people who are participating in a trend who have no business doing so. For instance, a Mexican strawberry-picker making $15,000 a year who gets a $720,000 loan for a home. If these don't-belong-there people make up a larger and larger fraction of all who get loans, that strongly suggests that everyone is trying to get in on a speculative bubble -- and that the gatekeepers of the activity are increasingly debauching their entry standards to accommodate the losers.

One datum that suggests an irrational bubble in education is that a much larger fraction of the population is going to college now, and that not surprisingly the average IQ of college students has declined by about 2/3 s.d. -- admissions boards began to scrape deeper down into the sludgebucket of society.

How about looking even earlier? High school is compulsory, so we can't really use high school enrollment to judge whether there's a bubble or not. But what about the sub-group of high school that ostensibly is there to prepare college-bound students for college? That is up to the choice of students, perhaps being bullied by their parents. There is strong evidence even at this early stage of an irrational bubble.

What got me thinking about this was a recent NYT article on how teachers feel about the Advanced Placement program, which is based on a report from the Thomas B. Fordham Institute. The key item that popped out was the claim that participation in the AP program has exploded in recent years, and that this has made a fair fraction of teachers anxious about whether there are students there who shouldn't be. This sure smells like a bubble.

First, let's make sure that the AP program really is exploding as they say, and then we'll see if there's a rational basis for it or not. To measure participation in the AP program, I simply took the number of AP tests taken and divided it by the high school population size. (The AP data are here, and the high school pop data are here, Table A-1.) The AP data go back to 1988, while the high school pop data end in 2007, so I looked at the period from 1988 to 2007. Here are both the total number of AP tests taken and the per capita rate:

An exponential trend accounts for 99.8% of the year-to-year variation for the total number of tests taken, and 99.2% in the per capita case. So, clearly participation in the AP program has been exploding at least since 1988.

Now, is there a sound basis for this increase -- like, maybe kids these days are just getting exponentially smarter? Without looking at the data, we know this is wrong since the main determinant of doing well in AP classes is IQ, and that is influenced mostly by genes and unpredictable aspects of the environment, which haven't been changing so rapidly from one year to the next.

Turning to data on how well 17 year-olds are doing academically, let's look at some tables from the 2007 version of the Digest of Education Statistics (all under Chapter 2, and then Educational Achievement). Table 112 shows that on the National Assessment of Educational Progress, the average reading score for 17 y.o.s did not change from 1971 to 2004. Table 115 shows that the percent of 17 y.o. students who are at the 300 level or above in reading did not change from 1971 to 2004. Tables 125 and 126 show the same lack of change for math skills tested by the NAEP. Table 135 shows that the average Critical Reading score on the SAT did not change from 1988 onward -- indeed, it was steady back to about 1976, and had been declining before then. There was a modest uptick in Math scores (15 points, or 0.15 s.d.). The Critical Reading or Verbal score is more highly g-loaded than the Math score for the SAT, or is a better measure of IQ, which means the apparent uptick in Math scores may not mean as much as we'd think.

Taken together, these data show that the academic fundamentals of high schoolers has not changed since the 1970s. If there has been no upswing at all in the fundamentals -- let alone an exponential one -- then the explosion of the AP program is accounted for completely by irrational factors. It seems just like the housing bubble -- the size of deserving borrowers didn't explode, so the surge in borrowing must have been due to a bunch of undeserving people pouring into the building, namely low-income people. The first shows the distribution of AP scores, where 5 is greatest. You can check the numbers for yourself in the previous link to the AP data, but there has been no change in the percent of all tests that received a score of 4 or 5 -- there have not been more and more smarties piling into AP classrooms, at least not since 1988. Therefore, everyone who deserved to be there was already there. However, the percent of all tests receiving a score of 1 -- telling the student, "why did you even bother?" -- has doubled from 10% to 21%. Those receiving a 2 shrunk a tiny amount, from about 23% to 21%. But those receiving a 3 declined from about 32% to 24%. This means that, unlike for smarties, more and more dummies have been allowed into the AP program.

This is reflected in the change in the mean and standard deviation of test scores: keeping the smarties fixed while adding a lot more dummies will drag down the mean and increase the heterogeneity or variance. That's analogous to the housing bubble causing a decline in the mean creditworthiness of the population of borrowers, and an increase in their heterogeneity, as both the sound and the unsound begin to rub shoulders in loan offices. And just as lenders increasingly cheapened their standards by not requiring down payments or proof of income, so high school teachers and administrators have allowed increasingly ill-prepared -- stupid -- students into the AP program.

In sum, there is very strong evidence from AP tests for a speculative bubble in education. Most of what I've read on whether or not such a bubble exists has focused on college -- soaring tuition, more and therefore dumber students, and so on. These data, though, show that the mania extends even to high school, not just higher ed. For at least the past five years, there have been many news stories about competitive admission to pre-school, so perhaps someone could dig up some numbers to show an exponential increase there too that can't be rationalized by a change in fundamentals. In any case, it's clear that this bubble is much more general than the college data suggest.

Curiously, the phrase "education bubble" has not appeared at all in the NYT, although it has appeared many times in the blogs that the newspaper hosts. Googling the phrase gets 39,000 hits. Rises and falls in tuition get plenty of coverage, but that doesn't show that the reporters are aware of the irrational bubble -- they just think it's unfair, that college should be cheaper so that more can attend. But just as no one was allowed to say that most low-income borrowers were undeserving of home loans since they were disproportionately black and Hispanic, so we aren't allowed to say that a lot of college students are nowhere near being "college material" -- that would violate the "demotic life and times," as Jacques Barzun has dubbed the zeitgeist from roughly the 1960s until today. We cripple our minds by imbibing political correctness.

The bursting of the education bubble may be decades away -- it sure has been going on for awhile, so its period may be much longer than that of the housing or stock market bubbles. Let's just hope that when it happens, it will turn out that hedge funds and investment banks won't have exposed themselves to all of this silliness, and that we won't be plunged into another multi-year recession.

You may not have heard of the American Community Survey, but you will. The national census, which historically is taken every ten years, has expanded to quench the federal bureaucracyís ever-growing thirst to govern every aspect of American life. The new survey, unlike the traditional census, is taken each and every year at a cost of hundreds of millions of dollars. And itís not brief. It contains 24 pages of intrusive questions concerning matters that simply are none of the governmentís business, including your job, your income, your physical and emotional heath, your family status, your dwelling, and your intimate personal habits.

The questions are both ludicrous and insulting. The survey asks, for instance, how many bathrooms you have in your house, how many miles you drive to work, how many days you were sick last year, and whether you have trouble getting up stairs. It goes on and on, mixing inane questions with highly detailed inquiries about your financial affairs. One can only imagine the countless malevolent ways our federal bureaucrats could use this information. At the very least the survey will be used to dole out pork, which is reason enough to oppose it.

Keep in mind the survey is not voluntary, nor is the Census Bureau asking politely. Americans are legally obligated to answer, and can be fined up to $1,000 per question if they refuse!

I introduced an amendment last week that would have eliminated funds for this intrusive survey in a spending bill, explaining on the House floor that perhaps the American people donít appreciate being threatened by Big Brother. The amendment was met by either indifference or hostility, as most members of Congress either donít care about or actively support government snooping into the private affairs of citizens.

One of the worst aspects of the census is its focus on classifying people by race. When government tells us it wants information to ìhelpî any given group, it assumes every individual who shares certain physical characteristics has the same interests, or wants the same things from government. This is an inherently racist and offensive assumption. The census, like so many federal policies and programs, inflames racism by encouraging Americans to see themselves as members of racial groups fighting each other for a share of the federal pie.

The census also represents a form of corporate welfare, since the personal data collected on hundred of millions of Americans can be sold to private businesses. Surely business enjoys having such extensive information available from one source, but itís hardly the duty of taxpayers to subsidize the cost of market research.

At least the national census has its origins in the Constitution, which is more than one can say about the vast majority of programs funded by Congress. Still, Article I makes it clear that the census should be taken every ten years for the sole purpose of congressional redistricting (and apportionment of taxes, prior to the disastrous 16th amendment). This means a simple count of the number of people living in a given area, so that numerically equal congressional districts can be maintained. The founders never authorized the federal government to continuously survey the American people.

More importantly, they never envisioned a nation where the people would roll over and submit to every government demand. The American Community Survey is patently offensive to all Americans who still embody that fundamental American virtue, namely a healthy mistrust of government. The information demanded in the new survey is none of the governmentís business, and the American people should insist that Congress reject it now before it becomes entrenched.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the `Megan Meier Cyberbullying Prevention Act’.

SEC. 2. FINDINGS.

Congress finds the following:
(1) Four out of five of United States children aged 2 to 17 live in a home where either they or their parents access the Internet.
(2) Youth who create Internet content and use social networking sites are more likely to be targets of cyberbullying.
(3) Electronic communications provide anonymity to the perpetrator and the potential for widespread public distribution, potentially making them severely dangerous and cruel to youth.
(4) Online victimizations are associated with emotional distress and other psychological problems, including depression.
(5) Cyberbullying can cause psychological harm, including depression; negatively impact academic performance, safety, and the well-being of children in school; force children to change schools; and in some cases lead to extreme violent behavior, including murder and suicide.
(6) Sixty percent of mental health professionals who responded to the Survey of Internet Mental Health Issues report having treated at least one patient with a problematic Internet experience in the previous five years; 54 percent of these clients were 18 years of age or younger.

SEC. 3. CYBERBULLYING.

(a) In General- Chapter 41 of title 18, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following:
Sec. 881. Cyberbullying

(a) Whoever transmits in interstate or foreign commerce any communication, with the intent to coerce, intimidate, harass, or cause substantial emotional distress to a person, using electronic means to support severe, repeated, and hostile behavior, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both.

How bizarre it is when liberals, leftists and other maniacs suggest that nations where abortion is a “right” are more “democratic” than others. Standing in the shadow of Planned Parenthood, which is the equivalent of a baby slaughterhouse, these creatures bawl that policies backed by the baby slaughterhouse are utterly essential to democratic government and that opposition to those policies is something akin to being undemocratic or fascist.

Right.

In the United Sates alone abortion on demand did not come from the ballot box with people physically voting for representatives (on the state or federal level) who would legalize the operation of baby slaughterhouses. No, instead it was unelected Supreme Court “justices” undemocratically imposing abortion “rights” on the masses through the dreadful Roe v. Wade decision in 1973 backed up by the fire power of the police and the federal government. Of course, even the most determined lawmaker who has attempted to impose the most benign restrictions on the baby slaughterhouses, appointed unelected judges have gleefully struck down those limitations and thwarted the alleged “will of the people.”

Needless to say, while sentient people oppose the death of any blameless infants, European Americans who so far are destined for minority status in the next few decades can benefit the most without this horrible practice (Podcasts: How to have more white babies). Then again, it has been by slow imperceptible degrees that people have been financially manipulated and systemically induced to embrace the stainless steel sink over the cradle.

This is called “freedom.”

In China, abortion was imposed by the end of a rifle and threats of prison by unelected bureaucrats as it was in the Soviet Union—again, pulling an end run around the will of the people. In other words, tragic regularity is the hallmark of abortion on demand enforced by antidemocratic ways.

Fifty years ago California was a paradise where people from across the country and the world were attracted by a pleasant climate, plentiful affordable open space, and a great standard of living. Today the State has a $42 Billion Deficit and a dwindling middle class. Much of our open space has been destroyed by urban sprawl and many once middle class comminutes are now rundown gang infested slums. The State is becoming like a third world banana republic with a widening gap between rich and poor and a declining middle class.

Both Liberals and Conservatives love to point fingers at each other, as to who is responsible for the state's mess we are in. In reality both left wing social engineering, as well as greed often defended by Republican pundits is destroying the State.

I have always considered myself someone with a strong sense of rugged individualism as well as a strong supporter of property rights. However our state has faced destructive changes that force us to re-evaluate our land use policies. The attitude of most conservatives and libertarians has traditionally been that people should be able to do what ever they please with their own property. That was fine fifty years ago before the Immigration Act of 1965 along with lax border enforcement opened the floodgates to millions of people, many of them attracted to California because of its allure and multitude of opportunities.

Policies promoted by the left and special interest such as the powerful Teachers Union have destroyed our urban schools, driving middle class families out of the cities, further contributing to urban sprawl. Corporatist interests groups that donate heavily to both political parties, as well as left wing ethnocentric advocacy groups have been some of the strongest advocates for open borders. Many members of the conservationist organization, The Sierra Club wanted the organization to recognize the affects of massive immigration on the environment. However the organizations leadership caved into political correctness and pressure from left wing advocacy groups and their Wall Street Financiers.

Greed on Wall Street along with social programs promising loans to those who were unqualified has created the foreclosure crisis in suburban California as well as subsidizing unsustainable development. The combination of over development, greed, and the massive immigration advocated by both the left and big business our destroying the quality of life in our state.

Liberal areas of the state, particularly the Bay Area have elected some of the strongest advocates for open borders in the Nation. However on a local level they have done an excellent job preserving open space and the historic character of their communities. Slow growth policies coupled with higher wages has deterred the massive over population that has plagued the southern part of the state. Southern California on the contrary has elected many hard liners on immigration. However the regions reckless growth and disregard for open space and historic preservation justified by their laissez faire philosophy has spoiled the region.

I have been accused of being anti capitalist by conservatives for supporting limits on growth, as well as a xenophobe by liberals for wanting to enforce our immigration laws. Liberals must re-evaluate their support for massive immigration and the damage it is doing to the environment and working class. Conservatives must be for conserving our natural resources as much as our fiscal resources instead of what is best for a quick profit.

Community Organizing Explained

Immediately after the Democratic National Convention in Colorado, the Boston Globe published a letter from L. David Alinsky. He boasted about how Barack Obama had made extremely effective use of his training in the methods of David's late father, the famous Chicago radical, Saul D. Alinsky.

David Alinsky gloated: "I am proud to see that my father's model for organizing is being applied successfully beyond local community organizing to affect the Democratic campaign in 2008. It is a fine tribute to Saul Alinsky as we approach his 100th birthday."

What was Saul Alinsky's model that Barack Obama used so successfully to defeat the Clinton machine plus the Republican Party in a dramatic one-two punch never before seen in politics? What is known today as "the Alinsky ideology and Alinsky concepts of mass organization for power" are fully set forth in Alinsky's 1971 book, "Rules for Radicals: A Pragmatic Primer for Realistic Radicals."

Alinsky's worldview was that mankind is divided into three parts: "the Haves, the Have-Nots and the Have-a-Little, Want Mores." His purpose was to teach the Have-Nots how to take power and money away from the Haves by creating mass organizations to seize power, and he frankly admitted that "this means revolution."

He wanted a radical change of America's social and economic structure, and he planned to achieve that through creating public discontent and moral confusion. Alinsky developed strategies to achieve power through mass organization, and organizing was his word for revolution.

He wanted to move the United States from capitalism to socialism, where the means of production would be owned by all the people (i.e., the government). A believer in economic determinism, he viewed unemployment, disease, crime and bigotry as byproducts of capitalism.

"Change" was Alinsky's favorite word, used on page after page. "I will argue," he wrote, "that man's hopes lie in the acceptance of the great law of change."

Alinsky used what he called "general concepts of change" to move us toward "a science of revolution." What he called "change" meant massive change in our socio-economic structure, and what he called "organizing" meant pursuing confrontational political tactics.

Alinsky taught the Have-Nots to "hate the establishment of the Haves" because they have "power, money, food, security and luxury." He claimed that "justice, morality, law and order are mere words used by the Haves to justify and secure their status quo."

Alinsky didn't ignore traditional moral standards or dismiss them as unnecessary. He was more devious -- he taught his followers that "moral rationalization is indispensable at all times of action whether to justify the selection or the use of ends or means."

To achieve his goals, he sought local community organizers who projected confidence and vision as well as change. Barack Obama fit the profile.

Alinsky didn't want just talkers, he wanted radicals who were prepared to take bold action to organize the discontented, precipitate crises, grab power and thereby transform society. He taught his organizers how to infiltrate existing institutions such as churches, unions and political parties, gain influence in them and then introduce change.

The qualities Alinsky looked for in a good organizer were ego ("reaching for the highest level for which man can reach -- to create, to be a 'great creator,' to play God"), curiosity (raising "questions that agitate, that break through the accepted pattern"), irreverence ("nothing is sacred"; "detests dogma, defies any finite definition of morality"), a sense of humor ("the most potent weapons known to mankind are satire and ridicule") and an organized personality with confidence in presenting the right reason for his actions only "as a moral rationalization after the right end has been achieved."

The organizer must "rub raw the resentments of the people of the community; fan the latent hostilities of many of the people to the point of overt expression. ... An organizer must stir up dissatisfaction and discontent."

Alinsky trained his community organizers to adopt a "middle-class identity" and familiarity with their "values and problems." After achieving "the priceless value of his middle-class experience," he will "begin to dissect and examine that way of life as he never has before."

Alinsky's trainees are instructed to return to the suburban scene of the middle class with its variety of organizations, from PTAs to League of Women Voters, consumer groups, churches and clubs. Alinsky boasted: "With rare exceptions, our activists and radicals are products of and rebels against our middle-class society. ... Our rebels have contemptuously rejected the values and way of life of the middle class."

Sarah, 20, came forward after the South African was sentenced to nine years in prison for holding her hostage before raping her after she went to his flat with a pal.

The judge told the court Moobeng, 35, “deliberately targeted two white females”.

But Sarah believes the monster has not been punished enough. “It makes me sick to think that this evil man came over specifically to rape and assault white girls,” she said. “He should be booted out of the country.

“Instead, while he has shattered my life, he has the dream life he came here for - a comfy bed, a TV to watch whenever he likes and hot food three times a day. Where is the justice in that?”

Police figures have revealed that immigrants are carrying out one in six rapes in Britain - and an astonishing one in THREE in London. And last month it was revealed Romanian Ali Majlat attacked a British woman so he could go to jail because his rapist elder brother wrote to him saying how cushy life was in our prisons.

Moobeng was on the run after his visa ran out when he targeted Sarah and her pal at a hotel bar in Exeter.

"He came over with his friend Benson and was being very over the top and flirting with my friend," said Sarah. "I was pleased for her. She'd been single for a long time so I went along with it when he suggested we go to a club."

She only found out through Benson's trial evidence why Moobeng was so interested. "He said Moobeng had been making fun of me and my friend as soon as he saw us because we were white. He wanted to hurt us because we were white."

Six-footer Moobeng then invited the girls back to his flat for a nightcap. It was there he pounced. Sarah said: "He jumped on top of me and started kissing my neck but I kicked him off. I told my friend I wanted to go home before storming into the bathroom.

"The next thing Amos literally ripped the bathroom door from its hinges and shouted, 'Get out of there now'. Then I saw him grab my friend and whack her round the face three times. I screamed at him to leave her alone. He just stared at me." The girls fled the flat but in the panic Sarah lost her pal. She made the mistake of going back to find her. Moobeng was waiting.

"I heard the locks turn on the front door behind me when I went inside. He grabbed my wrist and pulled me upstairs into a bedroom. He locked that door too. I was screaming, crying and kicking.

"He slapped me around the face and then ripped off my clothes and raped me.

"All I could do was shut my eyes and scream and scream. He was so strong and no matter what I did I just couldn't free myself. I thought I was going to die.

"Afterwards I ran towards the window to try and jump out but he grabbed me and threw me back on to the bed.

"I kicked and screamed but he pinned me up against the wall and punched and punched at me until eventually I must have passed out." When she came to, she ran out of the flat to discover police - called by her friend - waiting.

Their sniffer dogs found Moobeng crouching behind the building but when arrested he gave a false name. He later jumped bail after the attack in 2007 but was tracked down to Edinburgh.

He was convicted of rape, false imprisonment and assault. Moobeng was also ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register for life and was told he would be deported after serving his sentence.

Now Sarah is trying to piece her life back together and has managed to find love since the attack. She and her partner Dave Koker, 23, have just had a baby girl.

"I'm trying to move on, but I still have nightmares," she said. "If I hear a man with a foreign accent I shake with fear.

"That man was pure evil and should never have been allowed into this country to attack me in the first place."

12 girls, 6 boys accused of kicking, choking 13-year-old Caucasian girl

A 13-year-old Caucasian girl was brutally attacked by a mob of black and Hispanic teen-agers in what appears to be a racially motivated "hate crime" committed in honor of "Beat Up a White Kid Day," reports the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Authorities say 12 girls and six boys, aged 9 through 15, beat, kicked and choked the girl near Wilbur Wright Middle School in Cleveland, Ohio, in observance of a May Day ritual among the teens.

The Plain Dealer reports police were tipped off that a racial incident might happen and arrived on the scene as the crime was taking place.

Delinquency charges of felonious assault, ethnic intimidation and aggravated riot were filed against the 18 in Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court late last week.

If convicted, the teens face a minimum of one year in a juvenile facility.

Carmen Naso, supervisor of the juvenile justice unit of the county prosecutor's office, told the paper that evidence indicates the victim was attacked because of her race.

According to Naso, the victim remains under medical care and suffers blackouts as a result of the attack.

Five of the assailants attend the middle school with the victim and received 10-day suspensions.

SILVER SPRING, Md. - One of the two students accused of plotting to blow up Springbrook High School and kill two school workers was driven by an intense hatred for one of the alleged targets, a guidance counselor, a prosecutor argued at the students' court appearance Thursday.

Police and prosecutors allege 18-year-old Yonata Getachew hated the female guidance counselor for an unspecified reason and the school's principal for siding with the counselor. They say Getachew and 17-year-old Anthony Torrence planned to blow up the school by breaking gas lines and tossing in homemade bombs.

Both students appeared in court Thursday, charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, arson and reckless endangerment. The judge ordered both to be held without bond.

According to the charging documents, the students planned to attack the guidance counselor with a bag full of rocks and nails. They then allegedly planned to throw a bomb into Principal Mike Durso's office. Durso was back at work Thursday, admitting he was somewhat unsettled by the alleged plot.

"This job sometimes can be very challenging and very rewarding," Durso said. "Yesterday was probably more of the challenging part."

Police say the plot was uncovered when School Security Officer Rodney Barnes, who is assigned to the school, spotted Torrence out of class on Tuesday and questioned him about a fire in the building.

"I believe that had this thing occurred that I would say this probably would have been the big one," Ofc. Barnes said Thursday. "To talk about the gas line, the way they were testing the gas line, [it] genuinely would have blown up in their face."

According to Officer Barnes, Torrence said, "'I don't want to be in trouble, but I think I'm involved in something you need to know about.' He just began to tell the whole story."

"And as he's explaining it to me, and he has lighter fluid with him and all those things, and the kid is really just baring his soul to me," Barnes said.

The student admitted to Barnes that he was searching for a gas line in the school. When the officer asked him to open up his book bag, there were ten cans of lighter fluid and matches inside.

A search of the students' homes followed that confession, and police found materials, chemicals and a detailed plan to harm the principal and a school counselor with a bomb.

Torrence's mother, Andrea, denied her son was involved in the plot, saying Wednesday the search of her home had turned up nothing.

After the hearing Thursday she again denied his involvement.

"Not my son," she said. "He wouldn't hurt a soul."

Principal Durso says he saw no signs of trouble brewing.

"I guess I wish that maybe there were some clues along the way, to intervene before this things happen -- but unfortunately these things happen," he said.

Lawyers for both students said Thursday in court that there was no plot. They said both students were learning disabled and incapable of carrying out such an attack. They also said the alleged gas lines the students were probing were water lines.

For the Lodi Unified School District’s high school seniors, most face the bleakest employment prospects since the Great Depression.

To those who persevered and earned diplomas, I offer my sincere congratulations. You’ve bought some time to wait for an economic recovery—two years if you pursue an associate’s degree or four years if you attend college.

But for those who dropped out or will not be going further academically, their job prospects are particularly grim. Those young teens are on the brink of living empty, dependent and ultimately fruitless lives that will take them well into adulthood as they move from one meaningless job to another.

Even leaving the San Joaquin Valley for bigger markets like San Francisco or Los Angeles won’t help. California’s 11. 2 percent unemployment rate is among the highest in the nation.

Statistics indicate that if young adults are not gainfully employed between the ages of the 18 to 29, they become essentially lost to the working world. If you’re 30 and have no job experience, you’re unqualified to fill any but the most menial jobs.

By that age, those on the fringe have learned how to access public services and charitable safety nets. In other words, they know how to live without working.

While Americans are concerned about the nation’s overall 8 percent unemployment rate, the figures when broken down are even more alarming.

Latest available official unemployment rates for those 18-29 year olds with only a high school diploma who are actively looking for a job but cannot find one are:

12.5 percent for foreign-born
15.7 percent for native-born Hispanic Americans
17.6 percent for native-born Americans (all races)
26.1 percent for native-born Black Americans

If you also count those who want a full-time job but can only find a part-time work and also those who aren't looking for a job at all any more because of their repeated inability to find one, the statistics are much worse.

The percentage of those who don't have a full-time job include

39.3 percent of foreign-born
35.7 percent of native-born Hispanic Americans
37.3 percent of native-born Americans (all races)
47.1 percent for native-born Black Americans

Despite the astronomical unemployment level, corporate Beltway lobbyists on the right—most prominent among them the U.S. Chamber of Commerce—are working in tandem with open-borders advocates from the left to fill the few available jobs with non-immigrant visa holders and illegal aliens.

Incredibly, the Obama administration that promised to create or save four million jobs, is entertaining the idea of creating a new work permit level of 138,000 each month.

Most who would receive them would go into direct competition with less-educated, under-skilled Americans. If the higher cap on visas is approved, more than 1.5 million workers would come to the U.S. over a one-year period.

And the irony of the National Council of La Raza and the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops is hard to miss. Both pretend to have the best interests of Hispanics at heart but are actually acting against them by promoting higher levels of immigration that in turn creates a larger labor base. In case you have forgotten the basic Law Of Supply And Demand: more workers equal fewer jobs.

When it comes to the federal government’s promises to our high school students about their bright futures, they only job our graduates can count on is the proverbial and non-paying snow job.

'Boy snatched off street, set alight and murdered for being white'

MURDERED schoolboy Kriss Donald pleaded: "I'm only 15. What did I do?" as he was beaten up and dragged into the back of a car by his abductors, a court heard yesterday.

He was forced face down into the back of a silver Mercedes, threatened with a knife and told there was a gun in the car as he was driven off after being snatched from the street "because he was white".

The High Court in Edinburgh yesterday heard that Kriss was attacked and taken from a street in Pollokshields, Glasgow, because one of the men accused of his murder, Imran Shahid, 29, was angry and sought revenge after claiming he had been attacked with a glass bottle outside a nightclub the night before.

It is alleged that Kriss was later set on fire and murdered. In the days following the discovery of his body, friends and family created an impromptu shrine, featuring photographs and football colours. A witness told the court that one of the gang had said: "He took it quietly."

The witness, Zahid Mohammed, 22, was originally accused of taking part in the murder. He pleaded guilty at the High Court in Glasgow in November 2004 to assault to injury on Kriss and attempting to pervert the course of justice. He was given a five-year jail term and was released on licence on Wednesday after applying for parole, the jurors were told.

The jury also heard that he gave evidence again in November 2004 at the same court in the trial of his co-accused, Daanish Zahid, who is named as an alleged accomplice in the current trial.

Imran Shahid, Mohammed Faisal Mushtaq, 27, and Zeeshan Shahid, 29, deny racially aggravated murder.

All three are on trial in Edinburgh, accused of abducting and killing Kriss by striking him with a knife or knives, then setting him on fire on 15 March, 2004.

Mohammed said that in March 2004 he was subject to a tagging order for motoring offences and possession of a knife. On Monday, 15 March, he went to Mushtaq's home in Pollokshields. The Shahid brothers were there, and Zahid joined them later. Mohammed described Imran Shahid, known as "Baldy", as quite angry and added: "He said he got attacked with a glass bottle the night before, outside a nightclub … [by] the boys from McCulloch Street [Pollokshields]."

The witness said the "McCulloch Street boys" were white and Imran Shahid had vowed that he was going to take revenge and would "chop them up, take their eyes out, things like that".

It was planned that the group would go out in a car and look in McCulloch Street for "them … anybody".

Mohammed said Imran Shahid asked for weapons and Mushtaq took a hammer and a screwdriver from a tool box and they were put in a blue carrier bag. Mohammed gave Imran Shahid a knife and helped him to dye his blond hair back to its natural dark colour.

They all got into a silver Mercedes car and drove to McCulloch Street where they saw two boys, now known to be Kriss Donald and a friend, Jamie Wallace, turning into Kenmure Street.

Imran Shahid said to let him out and he began fighting with the boys, especially Kriss. Mohammed agreed with a description of Imran Shahid's build as "massive" and said Kriss was "quite small" and could not fight back. Imran Shahid pushed Kriss into the car while Mushtaq pulled him in from the other side.

The advocate-depute, Mark Stewart, QC, asked how successful Kriss was in resisting and Mohammed replied: "Very little."

Mohammed said he had never met him before the incident. He agreed that nothing would have happened if Kriss and his friend had been Chinese, African-American or Asian. He said they were targeted because they were white.

Mr Stewart asked if Kriss had said anything. Mohammed answered: "Yes, he said, 'I'm only 15. What did I do?' or something like that."

Kriss was "scrunched down" in the footwell at the rear of the car, facing the floor. He was "scared".

Mohammed said that both he and Imran Shahid punched Kriss on the back and Imran Shahid had said: "I'm Baldy. Nobody f***s with me."

Also, Imran Shahid pressed the point of a knife against Kriss's back, and asked if he could feel it. The car went to a flat in the Parkhead area, but no-one was at home. A number of phone calls were made to try to find "a place or a park or something … to batter Kriss". Imran Shahid threatened Kriss to force him to name the people from were the previous night. Kriss appeared to know what he was talking about and gave a few names.

Mohammed said he was dropped off at Strathclyde Park because he had to be home in time for his tagging curfew.

Next day, he went to Mushtaq's flat and spoke to Zeeshan Shahid, known as Crazy. "I asked what had happened. Crazy said, 'He took it quietly'." Mr Stewart ended by asking Mohammed: "Is the evidence you have given here today, sworn on the holy Koran, the truth?" Mohammed replied: "Yes."

David Burns, QC, for Imran Shahid, said Mohammed had done a deal with the prosecution by which he received a five-year sentence and agreed to give evidence against others. "You knew you would get life imprisonment if convicted of murder, and much less if you pleaded to something less?" asked Mr Burns.

Mohammed said: "Yes."

Donald Findlay, QC, for Mushtaq, accused the witness of being "a liar, pure and simple" and someone who was "cunning and conniving". The witness denied it.

Mr Findlay continued: "Co-incidentally, you were released from prison [in England] the day before you give evidence and got a lift here from the police."

He said on Mohammed's account, he might have supplied the weapon which killed Kriss. "Up to your neck in it is an understatement," suggested Mr Findlay.

Mohammed agreed with Norman Ritchie, QC, for Zeeshan Shahid, that he had been granted parole at the first time of asking and a police agreement that offered him a new home and a new identity when the trial ends.

No mention as to whether the suspects are being tried for a hate crime or not.

Three Race Murders in Seattle

Kristopher Kime, James Paroline, and Edward Scott McMichael had three things in common: They were white, they helped make Seattle a more civilized place, and they were murdered by blacks. Only Kime's murder was officially recognized as racially motivated, but it is hard not to conclude that the other two men were also killed because they were white.

Late last November 2 or early the next day, Edward Scott McMichael, 53, better known as "Tuba Man," died of injuries he suffered several days earlier when he was stomped by five Seattle "youths" at a bus stop. Three of the five were arrested but their names were not released because they were only 15 at the time of the attack. McMichael, a lifelong Seattleite, had gained local fame as a busker, a street musician who played the contrabass tuba wherever people gathered for sports and cultural events. The gregarious eccentric could be identified by his tuba, Dr. Seuss or Uncle Sam hat, scraggly beard, hornrimmed glasses, and by the fact that he often needed a bath.

The classically trained McMichael took requests for a price, remembered old customers by name, and played rock songs, movie themes, American pop standards, and classical music.

At about midnight on October 25, five teenagers attacked McMichael and stole his ring and wallet. After they knocked him to the ground he curled up into a ball but they continued to beat and kick him.

A passing police officer arrested two attackers on the spot. Police have also caught one of the three who ran away but are still looking for the other two.

On November 12, an estimated 1,500 mourners, mostly sports fans, gathered for a hastily organized memorial service for Tuba Man at Qwest Field Event Center, where Seattle Mariners president Chuck Armstrong tearfully read a tribute written by Mr. Armstrong's son: "It was just impossible to be sad while he was playing that tuba." The New York Times even sent a reporter to cover the service.

At the service, someone handed out a flier, pointing out that McMichael's death was part of "the hidden campaign of murder against white people." An indignant Todd Dybas, editor of Seattle Sports Online, said this took "a staggering level of insensitivity." The truth may be staggeringly insensitive, but not as insensitive as beating someone to death.

None of the many prominent news stories and columns I read about the crime gave any description of the attackers still at large or mentioned the race of the two who had been arrested. It took several days for me to find a quote from a message board, and follow it to a copy of the Seattle Police Department's "morning press release" at a crime blog, which reported: "Unfortunately, the only description that we have is that the suspects were black males in their mid-teens." On November 7, an entry for Mc- Michael appeared at Wikipedia, the Internet's most popular reference (see "Wikipedia on Race," AR, August 2008). The entry did not mention race, and still does not.

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer* published a column on the killing that attracted over 1,000 reader comments. The vast majority of responses were deleted for "insensitivity," and a number of people whose responses remain were permanently banned after complaints by politically correct posters. *(We have since been pleased to learn of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer's long deserved death as a newspaper. -- Ed)

James Paroline

On July 9, 60-year old, Vietnam War veteran James Paroline was killed in his residential Seattle neighborhood of Rainier Beach, as he did his daily duty of watering the garden in a small traffic circle in front of his house. He always put out traffic cones to prevent cars from driving over the hose, which he ran from his house. This meant some cars had to drive the long way around the circle to avoid the cones.

That evening, three black women in their teens and early twenties in two cars refused to drive the long way around.

They stopped their car, and started yelling at Paroline. A neighbor shot a video of the confrontation, in which Paroline tries to ignore the girls, while one can be heard claiming they were hosed and beaten by Paroline. One can be seen throwing a jug of water at Paroline. One girl then fetched her sister's boyfriend, 28-year-old Keith David Brown, who walked up to the older man, spoke quietly to him, and then "sucker-punched" him in the face, according to court documents. The blow knocked Paroline to the pavement, fracturing his skull in several places. Mr. Brown got in his car and drove away. Paroline died that night in the hospital, without ever regaining consciousness.

The next day, a white Seattle television reporter at the crime scene described the killer only as "a man in his twenties." That same day, the black women admitted to police that they had lied, when they claimed they did not know the man who killed Paroline. Police also found no evidence that Paroline had assaulted them.

Once Seattle police learned Mr. Brown's name, they publicized his photograph but still could not find him.

His mother contacted the NAACP, which arranged for Mr. Brown to give himself up at what it called a "neutral" and "safe" location, a black church known for "social activism." One week after the killing, the police finally got their man. Mr. Brown had a previous record of nine criminal convictions, including theft, felony drug possession, criminal trespass, and two convictions for felony assault. On one occasion, he head-butted and nearly strangled a woman to death.

His mother said Mr. Brown was wracked with remorse since killing Paroline and had been "praying continuously." She called him the "sweetest" of her three sons, and said he would have attacked Paroline only to protect the women. She also explained that he had moved in with foster parents when she had had to serve time for bank robbery.

Shewanda Coleman, the mother of Mr. Brown's seven-year-old son, reported that he was "a sweetheart," who "tries to do everything to help everybody." Mr. Brown has pleaded innocent.

Wikipedia has no entry for James Paroline.

Kristopher Kime

During Seattle's 2001 Mardi Gras celebrations, gangs of blacks--male and female--charged into the crowd of predominantly white revelers, beating and robbing isolated whites, hitting them with brass knuckles, skateboards, rocks and bottles, and groping white women (see "Bloody Fat Tuesday," AR, April 2001). White vandals smashed several cars, but the assaults were overwhelmingly by blacks against whites.

Kristopher Kime, a 20-year-old white man who worked in construction and attended Highline Community College, came to the aid of a lone, petite, white woman on the ground being stomped by blacks. One of them, 18-year-old Jerell Thomas, came up behind him and smashed a bottle on the back of Kime's head. Kime went down, and the pack stomped him.

Seattle's Finest were assembled nearby, some on the ground, and some on rooftops, and could see the savagery, but were ordered to stand down because Chief Gil Kerlikowske didn't want to stir up the rioters. When Kime's friends telephoned 911 for help, the dispatchers refused to send officers into the riot to rescue him. He died that night in the hospital as his grief-stricken father looked on.

After the murder, two Seattle police officers publicly condemned Chief Kerlikowske for ordering police to stay out of the fighting, and one sent the Kime family the $200 in overtime he had earned that night. He said it was to help pay for the funeral. Seattle police eventually recommended that the Kime murder and other black-on-white attacks be treated as hate crimes, but the King County prosecutor made no hate crime charges.

Black Seattle preachers and community leaders were outraged--not by the racist violence--but because the media had dared to show that the perpetrators were black. Black preachers and the president of the Urban League, James Kelly, met with Mayor Paul Schell to demand that the media stop mentioning the riot's racial character, calling complaints about black racism a "vilification of African Americans." Chief Kerlikowske dutifully announced that race had had nothing to do with the race riot, and the media took the same line. Eventually, in a rare show of honesty, Chief Kerlikowske did admit that the attacks were racially motivated.

Jerell Thomas was convicted in 2001 of Kime's murder and sentenced to 22 years in prison. In 2003, however, the Washington Supreme Court overturned Mr. Thomas' conviction and those of hundreds of other killers in an arcane and controversial decision that appeared to require that murder convictions require incontrovertible evidence of an intent to kill. Mr. Thomas was then re-charged with manslaughter. In February 2006, he pleaded guilty to second degree manslaughter and received a sentence of 10 years in prison.

Kris Kime's family sued the City of Seattle for failing to protect him, and in 2002 received a settlement of $1.75 million, a small scholarship fund set up in Kime's name, and a plaque in Pioneer Square.

At Wikipedia, the original May 10, 2005 article about the riot clearly described the racial nature of the riots, but it was quickly removed by censors and replaced with a vaguely worded, 39- word stub that mentioned nothing about race. The current version says the riot's racial character is a matter of dispute.

Media Complicity

In all three of the above cases, the media were in some way complicit with the killers. During the 2001 Mardi Gras riot, the press photographed dozens of mob attackers, all of them black. After publicizing some images--the next day, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer ran a cover picture of a 250-pound black man wearing brass knuckles--the media remembered their duty to downplay black crime. The first images, however, were transmitted around the world via the Internet.

On the day following the murder of James Paroline at his traffic-circle garden, Karen O'Leary, a 24-year veteran of Cox Broadcasting's KIRO Television, told viewers that "the suspect is a man in his twenties." The police had, of course, told her the man was black, and she knew by then that she was reporting on a murder. The black girls who claimed Paroline had attacked them followed the "don't snitch" policy and falsely claimed to the police that they did not know who he was. The police quickly publicized his name, but the "don't snitch" mentality ensured that Mr. Brown had a full week in which to think over whether to turn himself in.

In the case of Edward Scott McMichael, the "Tuba Man," I looked through dozens of news articles and columns without finding a single reference to the race of the killers, even though I was able--after much digging--to find the description the Seattle police had originally given the media: "two 15-year-old black boys." So how do you fight crime in a city in which race must not be mentioned and motives must not be examined? Seattle's current mayor, Greg Nickels, first won office in 2001 with a promise that never again would a man be beaten to death in Seattle while police looked on. He said that if he were elected, he would hang Kristopher Kime's death certificate on the wall of the mayor's office. He kept that promise, but left Police Chief Gil Kerlikowske on the job despite campaign hints that he would fire him for incompetence. His latest crime-fighting proposal? Shortly after "Tuba Man" was killed, he proposed a new city regulation that would make it illegal for a private citizen to carry a gun in any city-owned building or park. This would include citizens who have the legal right to carry concealed weapons.

Most legally armed citizens are white, while a vastly disproportionate number of gun criminals are black. Law-abiding citizens would, of course, be the only ones who would obey this silly law, leaving them defenseless against robbers and murderers. If his proposal goes through, Mayor Nickels had better be prepared to hang more death certificates on the wall of his office.

The article below was written by a Black journalist from the Jamaica Star in 2005 after hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans. This Journalist, Leighton Levy shamed himself for his own Black brothers and raised a few interesting points. One that stands out is that if poverty causes crime, why could none of the poor Whites from Biloxi, or other towns be seen looting?

The Liberals said that the Black people were looting out of desperation…no food, etc…But they were NOT looting food, they were looting everything from Nike shoes and diapers to plasma TV’s

In a tragedy that destroyed about 90% of all homes in New Orleans, including White’s homes…were only Blacks desperate? Were Whites not equally desperate…yet you saw no White looters.

In South Africa we often here this nonsense that poverty causes crime and Black people are desperate. Crime has nothing to do with poverty and another thing…Blacks in South Africa are not poor, they are not starving and they are not desperate…look at the picture accompanying this post…does these Black women look hungry and starving to you?

Why then is the crime so high in South Africa? Why is the crime in South Africa and the world almost completely unilateral? Crime rates and prison populations clearly show that Blacks are the vast majority of criminals. Are Blacks predisposed and wired to be criminals? Is criminality part of their genetical make up? If it is proven to be so and if we finally draw that conclusion, what shall we do about this problem then?

Should be change the genetics of Blacks and remove that criminal gene? Is it ethical…? Should we just kill them all off and get rid of them that way? Will that be ethical? Or shall we just separate ourselves from them? They on their own and we by ourselves….Can you see why we had APARTHEID….

Us Whites from South Africa know Blacks. We have lived alongside them for centuries. We understand Kaffirs and accept them for what they are, but we never see them as our equal. We know that they are criminal and violent by nature…that is why we separated our neighbourhoods from theirs…For that we were vilified and crucified. We were made out to be the skunks of the world, the racist scum that suppressed Blacks, yet we had very good reasons for it. Just look at the violent and criminal acts committed against White South Africans by Blacks in the “New”, “Improved”, South Africa and tell me who are the real RACISTS here.

Apartheid was a natural necessity in a country the rest of the world never understood. But the World is changing and it is changing fast. What was done to us Whites in South Africa is fast approaching other countries and soon they will start feeling this need for separation just like we did. Apartheid will still be introduced in major liberal countries such as the Netherlands, Germany, etc…Just wait and see. One day they will understand what we went through.

This 15 year old schoolgirl (presumably White) is walking on her way to school and along comes a filthy Kaffir and start making advances at her. She first ignores him and carries on walking, but not content, the Houtkop carries on sexually harassing the young girl who was born when Apartheid was long finished and the ANC came to power.

Here the story gets interesting, she says he just walked up to her and started stabbing her nine times….she is still in hospital fighting for her life. He says she told him to “Fuckoff Kaffir” and that is why he stabbed her. The shitskin tried to flee, but witnesses apprehended him.

That is the usual excuse in South Africa. Blacks attack Whites and then just claim they were racially insulted…and they get off scot free. Black domestics kill their White employers and when get caught, they just claim racial abuse. Same with Black farm workers…In other words, if you want to get away with murder, just cry “racism”.

This is a sick country….a mental asylum run by the inmates. It must be the only society in the world where “Racism” is a bigger crime than murder. The sad fact is that the public will take the side of the Black murderers and condemn the White victims, (whether the racist allegations were true or not). Even White people will say, “Well she shouldn’t have called him a Kaffir, she got what she deserved”.

Stuff the fact that he sexually harassed an under aged girl. Stuff the fact that he stabbed her with intent to kill….Racism is a bigger “crime”. And everyone will ignore the fact that that he was a Black Man who harassed and stabbed a White girl…but that is not racism, because Blacks can never be racists. But let me assure you that if the colours were reversed…If a White Man sexually harassed and stabbed a Black girl…it would have been front page news in every newspaper and on every television channel.

Is racism even a crime? Crimen Injuria is a crime…but she is the guilty one by public opinion. Already found guilty, hung drawn and quartered for “Racism”.

A 15-year-old schoolgirl is in hospital fighting for her life after she was allegedly stabbed 11 times by a motorist whose advances she rejected.

The incident, which has shocked fellow pupils, happened yesterday morning while she was on her way to school with friends in eMpangeni on the KwaZulu- Natal North Coast.

The girl, whose identity has been withheld, is a Grade 9 pupil at Mpangeni High School.

“She was stabbed repeatedly in the upper body, presumably with a knife. She was taken to a local hospital and was in a critical condition,” said Mounties Ambulance Service spokesperson Joseph Kruger.

Mpangeni police spokesperson Sergeant Zanele Mkhwanazi said the pupil was on her way to school when she was attacked by the man, who cannot be named until he appears in court.

“The pupil was walking along Dunn Road in Central Park when the man, who is in his 30s, showed up and suggested that they make love.

Initially the girl ignored him but he nagged until she insulted him.

“Well at least, that’s his version of the story,” said Mkhwanazi.

Mkhwanazi said police were still trying to get more information from the suspect because his statement was mixed up .

“We hope that the girl will recover so that she gives us her side of the story,” she said.

After stabbing the girl the man fled but was apprehended by witnesses.

“The girl is still fighting for her life in hospital,” Mkhwanazi said.

Meanwhile, parents and community members Sowetan spoke to expressed shock, with some calling for the suspect to be sent to jail for a long time.

“I think he must be hanged. We can’t have such lunatics acting like this. When we send our children to school we want to do so knowing very well that they will come back,” said one parent.

Why are whites, who've been targeted and victimized because of their ethnicity, not counted as "victims of hate crimes"? Why are the national crime statistics hidden by the media? Why are the cases of utterly barbaric non-white on white crime kept out of the press? It's pretty obvious that we've come to the point where ethnic interests are colliding beyond reconciliation. The constantly reinforced victim mentality of non-white interlopers has created an environment which is hostile to and is causing the genocide and displacement of a distinct and sovereign people, Whites.

The conditions this Marxist-Leninist ideology of 'blame the White man' have imposed are both violent and tyrannical. The oppression of any people is something to be called out, shouted down, and fiercely challenged. In this case it is the Whites who are being oppressed. Why should any people have to live subject to constant denigration, and degradation? All people deserve the right to rule themselves, and now, in all White countries this is the kind of sociopathic mentality we must put up with, or in some cases face the penalty of imprisonment.

Equal treatment under the law is the right of all citizen, yet today there is vastly unequal treatment when it comes to the law depending on one's race. Protected classes, affirmative action, and the constant anti-white propaganda in the media, schools and politics has caused a great festering evil to take root in our once free Nation. The evil must be rooted out before this cancer metastasizes and the great healthy body of our republic forever trots down the road to oblivion.

Cal Professor John Ogbu thinks he knows why rich black kids are failing in school. Nobody wants to hear it.

The black parents wanted an explanation. Doctors, lawyers, judges, and insurance brokers, many had come to the upscale Cleveland suburb of Shaker Heights specifically because of its stellar school district. They expected their children to succeed academically, but most were performing poorly. African-American students were lagging far behind their white classmates in every measure of academic success: grade-point average, standardized test scores, and enrollment in advanced-placement courses. On average, black students earned a 1.9 GPA while their white counterparts held down an average of 3.45. Other indicators were equally dismal. It made no sense.

When these depressing statistics were published in a high school newspaper in mid-1997, black parents were troubled by the news and upset that the newspaper had exposed the problem in such a public way. Seeking guidance, one parent called a prominent authority on minority academic achievement.

UC Berkeley Anthropology Professor John Ogbu had spent decades studying how the members of different ethnic groups perform academically. He'd studied student coping strategies at inner-city schools in Washington, DC. He'd looked at African Americans and Latinos in Oakland and Stockton and examined how they compare to racial and ethnic minorities in India, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, and Britain. His research often focused on why some groups are more successful than others.

But Ogbu couldn't help his caller. He explained that he was a researcher -- not an educator -- and that he had no ideas about how to increase the academic performance of students in a district he hadn't yet studied. A few weeks later, he got his chance. A group of parents hungry for solutions convinced the school district to join with them and formally invite the black anthropologist to visit Shaker Heights. Their discussions prompted Ogbu to propose a research project to figure out just what was happening. The district agreed to finance the study, and parents offered him unlimited access to their children and their homes.

The professor and his research assistant moved to Shaker Heights for nine months in mid-1997. They reviewed data and test scores. The team observed 110 different classes, from kindergarten all the way through high school. They conducted exhaustive interviews with school personnel, black parents, and students. Their project yielded an unexpected conclusion: It wasn't socioeconomics, school funding, or racism, that accounted for the students' poor academic performance; it was their own attitudes, and those of their parents.

Ogbu concluded that the average black student in Shaker Heights put little effort into schoolwork and was part of a peer culture that looked down on academic success as "acting white." Although he noted that other factors also play a role, and doesn't deny that there may be antiblack sentiment in the district, he concluded that discrimination alone could not explain the gap.

"The black parents feel it is their role to move to Shaker Heights, pay the higher taxes so their kids could graduate from Shaker, and that's where their role stops," Ogbu says during an interview at his home in the Oakland hills. "They believe the school system should take care of the rest. They didn't supervise their children that much. They didn't make sure their children did their homework. That's not how other ethnic groups think."

It took the soft-spoken 63-year-old Nigerian immigrant several years to complete his book, Black American Students in an Affluent Suburb: A Study of Academic Disengagement, which he wrote with assistance from his research aide Astrid Davis. Before publication, he gave parents and school officials one year to respond to his research, but no parents ever did. Then Ogbu met with district officials and parents to discuss the book, which was finally published in January.

The gatherings were cordial, but it was clear that his conclusions made some people quite uncomfortable. African-American parents worried that Ogbu's work would further reinforce the stereotype that blacks are intellectually inadequate and lazy. School district officials, meanwhile, were concerned that it would look as if they were blaming black parents and students for their own academic failures.

But in the weeks following the meetings, it became apparent that the person with the greatest cause for worry may have been Ogbu himself. Soon after he left Ohio and returned to California, a black parent from Shaker Heights went on TV and called him an "academic Clarence Thomas." The National Urban League condemned him and his work in a press release that scoffed, "The League holds that it is useless to waste time and energy with those who blame the victims of racism." The criticism eventually made it all the way to The New York Times, where an article published prior to the publication of Ogbu's book quoted or referred to four separate academics who quarreled with his premise. It quoted a Shaker Heights school official who took issue with the professor's conclusions, and cited work by the Minority Student Achievement Network that suggested black students care as much about school as white and Asian students. In fact, the reporter failed to locate a single person in Shaker Heights or anywhere else with anything good to say about the book.

Other scholars have since come forward to take a few more swipes at the professor's premise. "Ogbu is just flat-out wrong about the attitudes about learning by African Americans," explains Asa Hilliard, an education professor at Georgia State University and one of the authors of Young, Gifted, and Black: Promoting High Achievement Among African-American Students. "Education is a very high value in the African-American community and in the African community. The fundamental problem is Dr. Ogbu is unfamiliar with the fact that there are thousands of African-American students who succeed. It doesn't matter whether the students are in Shaker Heights or an inner city. The achievement depends on what expectations the teacher has of the students." Hilliard, who is black, believes Shaker Heights teachers must not expect enough from their black students.

To racial theorist Shelby Steele, the response to Ogbu's work was sad but predictable. Steele, a black research fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institution and the author of The Content of Our Character: A New Vision of Race in America, has weathered similar criticism for his own provocative theories about the gap between blacks and whites. He believes continued societal deference to the victims of racial discrimination has permitted blacks "the license not to meet the same standards that others must meet," which has been detrimental to every aspect of African-American life. "To talk about black responsibility is "racist' and "blaming the victim,'" he says. "They just keep refusing to acknowledge the elephant in the living room -- black responsibility. When anybody in this culture today talks about black responsibility for their problems, they are condemned and ignored."

Ogbu knows that better than anybody. In the months since publication of his book, he's been called a sellout with no heart for his own people, and dismissed entirely by critics who say his theory is so outrageous it isn't even worth debating. It is not surprising that Ogbu himself is now a bit uncomfortable discussing his own conclusions, although he has not backed down at all. After all, many scholars are eager to blame everything but black culture for the scholastic woes of African Americans. "I look below the surface," he says, in response to his many critics. "They don't like it."

Parents in Shaker Heights began trying to explain the disquieting gap months before Ogbu arrived. A small group of black and white parents gathered in the mid-1990s to study the issue months before the student newspaper at Shaker Heights High School published its article. Their preliminary explanations were divided into four broad categories: the school system, the community, black parents, and black students. The group concluded that the academic gap was an "unusually complex subject, involving the internal and external synergistic dynamics not only of the school system, but also of the parents and of students, collectively and individually, as well as our community as a whole."

It was a diplomatic way of saying there was much blame to go around, some of it attributable to black parents or students. Although many black parents would later react negatively to Ogbu's work, this biracial group had in fact beaten him to some of his conclusions. "Ogbu didn't find anything new," recalls Reuben Harris, an African-American parent who served on the subcommittee. "It's just a community where you wouldn't think this kind of gap would occur."

Ogbu agreed. And because he had spent much of his prior career looking at inner-city schools, he was particularly intrigued by the idea of studying a relatively affluent minority group in an academically successful suburban district. This was an opportunity to do a new kind of research. Why were there such stark differences when the socioeconomic playing field was comparably level? How could you explain the achievement discrepancies when they couldn't be dismissed with the traditional explanations of inadequate teachers or disparities in school funding?

Shaker Heights is an upper-middle-class city whose roughly 28,000 residents live on lovely tree-lined streets that run through neighborhoods of stately homes and manicured lawns. Years ago, both blacks and Jews were prohibited from living in the community by restrictive real-estate covenants, but the civil rights era brought a new attitude to the Cleveland suburb, which voluntarily integrated and actively discouraged white flight. Today, blacks make up about one third of the community, and many of them are academics, professionals, and corporate executives.

Ogbu worked from the 1990 census data, which showed that 32.6 percent of the black households and 58 percent of the white households in Shaker had incomes of $50,000 a year or more -- a considerable sum in northeast Ohio. It also was a highly educated community, where 61 percent of the residents graduated from college, about four times the national average. The school district was a model of success, too: Considered one of the best in the nation, it sent 85 percent of its students to college. Today, the district has approximately 5,000 students, of whom 52 percent are African American.

These were the kids of primarily well-educated middle- to upper-class parents, and yet they were not performing on a par with their white classmates in everything from grade-point average to college attendance. Although they did outperform other black students from across Ohio and around the country, neither school officials nor parents were celebrating.

Ogbu's approach was to use ethnographic methods to study the problems in Shaker Heights. In ethnography, the point is to try and "get inside the heads of the natives," he says. "You try to see the world as they see, and be with them -- as one of my colleagues puts it -- in all sorts of moods." An ethnographer lives in the community, talks to his subjects extensively, observes the environment, reviews data, but then derives his own conclusions about the situation.

Many of Ogbu's academic critics take issue with his methods, which they say are way too subjective. Most of them are sociologists, who rely on their subjects' own sense of the situation when studying something. It is the view of those being studied and not the view of the researcher that counts most. "They do surveys," Ogbu says. "They ask questions. I live in the community and socialize. My research is not confined to schools. I tell you what I observe."

Ogbu addresses this point in the introduction to his book: "The natives' own account of their social reality is also a social construction rather than a reality that is out there." He uses the example of racial attitudes in Shaker Heights to show why he believes this approach fails. Ask people there about race relations in the community and you will get wildly divergent opinions, depending on whom you ask. Whites, he found, say it is a racially harmonious and tolerant place. African Americans, meanwhile, describe the community as racially troubled and filled with tension between blacks and whites.

There are other differences between Ogbu's approach and that of most other academics who study minorities and education. They focus their scrutiny on the academic system or society at large, pointing to factors such as socioeconomics, inadequate urban schools, or the legacy of racism in the United States. Such theorists often cite the 1994 publication of The Bell Curve, which argued that blacks are intellectually inferior to whites, as evidence that negative stereotyping of African Americans still exists.

Ogbu, however, trains his eye elsewhere. "I am interested in what kids bring from home to school," he says. "And it seems to me there are different categories of students and they bring different things. I want to know what are those things."

The question of what students in Shaker Heights brought to school from their homes turned out to be profound. Black homes and the black community both nurtured failure, he concluded.

When Ogbu asked black students what it took to do well in the Shaker district, they had the right answers. They knew what to say about how to achieve academic success, but that knowledge wasn't enough. "In spite of the fact that the students knew and asserted that one had to work hard to succeed in Shaker schools, black students did not generally work hard," he wrote. "In fact, most appeared to be characterized by low-effort syndrome. The amount of time and effort they invested in academic pursuit was neither adequate nor impressive."

Ogbu found a near-consensus among black students of every grade level that they and their peers did not work hard in school. The effort these students put into their schoolwork also decreased markedly from elementary school to high school. Students gave many reasons for their disinterest. Some said they simply didn't want to do the work; others told Ogbu "it was not cool to be successful." Some kids blamed school for their failures and said teachers did not motivate them, while others said they wanted to do well but didn't know how to study. Some students evidently had internalized the belief that blacks are not as intelligent as whites, which gave rise to self-doubt and resignation. But almost of the students admitted that they simply failed to put academic achievement before other pursuits such as TV, work, playing sports, or talking on the phone.

The anthropologist also looked at peer pressure among black students to determine just what effect that had on school performance. He concluded that there was a culture among black students to reject behaviors perceived to be "white," which included making good grades, speaking Standard English, being overly involved in class, and enrolling in honors or advanced-placement courses. The students told Ogbu that engaging in these behaviors suggested one was renouncing his or her black identity. Ogbu concluded that the African-American peer culture, by and large, put pressure on students not to do well in school, as if it were an affront to blackness.

The professor says he discovered this sentiment even in middle- and upper-class homes where the parents were college-educated. "Black parents mistrusted the school system as a white institution," he wrote. They did not supervise their children's homework, didn't show up at school events, and failed to motivate their children to engage in their work. This too was a cultural norm, Ogbu concluded. "They thought or believed, that it was the responsibility of teachers and the schools to make their children learn and perform successfully; that is, they held the teachers, rather than themselves, accountable for their children's academic success or failure," he wrote.

Why black parents who mistrusted the school district as a white institution would leave it up to that same system to educate their children confounded Ogbu. "I'm still trying to understand it," he conceded. "It's a system you don't trust, and yet you don't take the education of your own kids into your hands."

Ogbu's critics find much to argue with in his Shaker Heights work. They believe his methods were shoddy, his research incomplete, and his assumptions about Shaker Heights outdated or wrong. They say the black community is far less affluent than Ogbu portrayed it and add that many of the black parents are first-generation college graduates with fewer family resources than their white counterparts. By and large, they blame the district and outside forces such as discrimination, stereotyping, and poor job opportunities as the cause of its academic problems. Talk to these critics and you also get a sense that they see Ogbu as a bit heartless.

"I find it useless to argue with people like Ogbu," says Urban League educational fellow Ronald Ross, himself a former school superintendent. "We know what the major problems in this school system are: racism, lack of funding, and unqualified teachers." Although Shaker Heights is in fact an integrated, well-funded, and well-staffed school district, Ross is nonetheless convinced that it suffers from other problems that contribute to the achievement disparities between the races.

Ronald Ferguson, a senior research associate at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government who also is studying Shaker Heights, believes the denial of equal educational and socioeconomic opportunities is at the root of the gap. He argues that Ogbu didn't pay enough attention to these essential differences, which he blames for the achievement disparities. The key to those differences is the amount of preparation students receive for academic challenges. "The differences in homework completion are not necessarily signs of lower-level academic disengagement," Ferguson says. "Instead, they're signs of skill differences, and in family-background supports."

Ferguson notes that even in affluent Shaker Heights, the rates of parental education are lower among African Americans than whites, and half the black students report living with one or no parent. "Ogbu writes as though the differences in family background are not very great, but in fact, they're substantial," he says.

Ogbu rejects this criticism in a way that suggests he's sick of hearing it.

"Nonsense," he says, dismissively. "What about other groups that come from one-parent families, like refugees, and they do better than the blacks? In Shaker Heights, 58 percent of the whites in 1990 made $50,000 to $100,000. Thirty-two percent of the black families made the same amount. The people who invited me are lawyers, real-estate agents; one was elected judge just last year. Over 65 percent of that community had at least four years college education. It's not a poor community."

Ogbu points out that another recent study of fourteen affluent communities around the United States found that the achievement gap between well-heeled whites and blacks is widespread, and not confined to Shaker Heights. "This is not unique," he says.

Although it's perhaps not surprising that Ogbu's theory would be criticized by a competing researcher with his own explanation for what's happening in Shaker Heights, even colleagues who have worked with Ogbu in the past are eager to put some distance between themselves and the anthropologist's latest work. Signithia Fordham is a professor of anthropology at the University of Rochester in New York who did research with Ogbu in the 1980s. It was that research that popularized the concept of "acting white," the notion that black students avoid certain behaviors like doing well in school, or speaking Standard English, because it is considered "white." The two researchers were criticized harshly over that research, which has been attacked in at least ten doctoral dissertations. Ogbu is now writing a book about that work.

Although Fordham did not want to comment on Ogbu's latest work, it is clear that her beliefs are almost exactly opposite from those of her former colleague. She believes school pressure to speak Standard English and "act white" is the very thing that makes black students fail. "What I found, the requirements in school compelled them to act in ways as if they weren't living in black bodies but who were essentially white or mainstream Americans," she says. "Kids found it difficult to deal with that and they found strategies to deal with it. They had to speak a certain variety of English in order to be successful. They had to buy into the ideas that dominate mainstream America. ... Black kids couldn't just be who they were."

In Ogbu's work with other American minority groups, the anthropologist has identified a core distinction that he believes is central to academic success or failure. It is the idea of voluntary, versus involuntary, minorities. People who voluntarily immigrate to the United States always do better than the involuntary immigrants, he believes. "I call Chicanos and Native Americans and blacks 'involuntary minorities,'" he says. "They joined American society against their will. They were enslaved or conquered." Ogbu sees this distinction as critical for long-term success in and out of school.

"Blacks say Standard English is being imposed on them," he says. "That's not what the Chinese say, or the Ibo from Nigeria. You come from the outside and you know you have to learn Standard English, or you won't do well in school. And you don't say whites are imposing on you. The Indians and blacks say, 'Whites took away our language and forced us to learn their language. They caused the problem.'"

Georgia State University's Hilliard brushes all this attitude stuff aside. He is convinced that the way teachers approach students of different races is key to understanding academic disparities. "It doesn't matter whether the students are in Shaker Heights or an inner city," he says. "The achievement depends on what expectations the teacher has of the student. There are savage inequalities in the quality of instruction offered to children. ... Based on other things we do know, many teachers face students who are poor or wealthy and, because of their own background, make an assumption certain students can't make it. I wouldn't be surprised to find that would be the case in Shaker Heights."

Ogbu did, in fact, note that teachers treated black and white students differently in the 110 classes he observed. However, he doesn't believe it was racism that accounted for the differences. "Yes, there was a problem of low teacher expectations of black students," he explains. "But you have to ask why. Week after week the kids don't turn in their homework. What do you expect teachers to do?"

Vincent Roscigno is not convinced by Ogbu's Shaker Heights theory. A sociology professor at Ohio State University who studies race and class disadvantages in achievement, he says Ogbu's latest premise descends from a long line of blame-the-victim research. "A problem in racial research historically has been to vilify the culture of the subordinate group," Roscigno says. "In the 1960s, a popular explanation for poverty was a culture-of-poverty thesis. That thesis argued the problems of urban poor people had to do with their culture and they were being guided the wrong way by their culture. ... At the turn of the century, the culture of white immigrants was blamed for their poverty and all the social conditions they faced."

Roscigno also believes Ogbu's research methods are flawed because he failed to do any comparative research on white families in Shaker Heights, substantially weakening his premise. "He's drawing very big conclusions about black students and black families in a case where he doesn't do much comparison," Roscigno says. "We don't know if white students would say anything different."

Ogbu barks a bit defensively in response: "I was invited by black parents. If I had more money and more time, I could study everybody."

John McWhorter, the author of Losing the Race: Self-Sabotage in Black America, says Ogbu's book roiled the waters of academia, which he believes is too invested in blaming whites for the problems plaguing black America. "There's a shibboleth in the academic world and that is that the only culture that has any negative traits is the white, middle-class West," says McWhorter, a UC Berkeley professor of linguistics who is currently serving as a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute, a New York think tank.

McWhorter's own book, based largely on the author's experiences as a black man and professor, blames a mentality of victimhood as the primary reason for most of the problems in black communities -- including educational underachievement. "There's an idea in black culture that says Plato and hypotenuses are for other people," he says. "There is an element of black identity today that sees doing well in school as being outside of the core of black identity. It's a tacit sentiment, but powerful. As a result of that, some of what we see in the reluctance of many parents, administrators, and black academics to quite confront the 'acting white' syndrome is that deep down many of them harbor a feeling that it would be unhealthy for black kids to embrace school culture too wholeheartedly."

Nor is Steele, who's also been dismissed as a sellout in his day, surprised by the way the scholarly world has reacted to Ogbu's latest work. "Academics are a sad case," Steele says. "They support the politics of white responsibility for black problems. If they were to do research that found blacks responsible they'd be 'Uncle Toms,' and that's how they've treated Ogbu."

Ogbu seems a bit bothered by the avalanche of criticism that's come his way. He treads carefully when he talks about his work and reiterates repeatedly in his writing and in person that he is not excusing the system. First of all, he concedes there are historic socioeconomic explanations to account for some black academic disengagement. Historically, there has been a weak link between academic success and upward mobility for African Americans. Blacks traditionally saw big leaps in social mobility only during times of national crisis such as war -- or during shortages of immigrant labor. "If those are the points where they move, it's not a kind of experience that allows a group to plan their educational future," Ogbu says.

In his book, he writes that the school district in Shaker Heights could do more to involve black parents and work at building more trust. He believes school officials should expand their existing Minority Achievement Committee, adopt more cooperative approaches to learning, and educate teachers about how their expectations can affect student performance. "I don't think it's one thing," he says cautiously. "There are a whole lot of things involved. My advice is we should look at each very carefully."

But Ogbu is adamant in his belief that racism alone does not account for the distressing differences. "Discrimination is not enough to explain the gap," he says. "There are studies showing that black African immigrants and Caribbean immigrants do better than black Americans even though some of them come with language barriers. It's just not race."

Ogbu believes he knows this firsthand. The son of parents who couldn't read, he grew up in a remote Nigerian village with no roads. His father had three wives and seventeen children with those women. Ogbu has a difficult time explaining his own academic success, which has earned him numerous accolades throughout his career. He did both undergraduate and graduate work at Berkeley and has never left. When pressed, he says he believes his own success primarily stems from being a voluntary immigrant who knew that no matter how many hurdles he had to overcome in the United States, his new life was an improvement over a hut in Nigeria with no running water. Involuntary immigrants don't think that way, he says. They have no separate homeland to compare things to, yet see the academic demands made of them as robbing them of their culture. Ogbu would like to see involuntary immigrants, such as the black families in Shaker Heights, think more like voluntary immigrants. In doing that, he says, they'd understand that meeting academic challenges does not "displace your identity."

The parents who invited Ogbu to Shaker Heights are uncertain about what to do with his theory. They know he is one of the preeminent scholars in his field, and yet his premise makes many of them uncomfortable and angry. They insist that they care deeply about education, which many say is the reason they moved to Shaker Heights. They feel betrayed by the very person they turned to for help.

Khalid Samad, the parent who compared Ogbu to Clarence Thomas, believes the professor fails to understand the black experience in America and how that creates problems for African-American students. "The system has de-educated and miseducated African Americans," he says. "Africans came here having some knowledge of who they were and their history and they had a self-acceptance. For several generations there has been a systematic robbing African Americans of their sociocultural identity and their personal identity. The depth of that kind of experience has created the kinds of problems we're still grappling with today."

Meanwhile, Howard Hall, a black Shaker Heights parent who is a child psychologist and professor at Case Western University, believes Ogbu had his mind made up before he even started his research. "It's scandalous to blame the kids for this," he says. "It's a good school system, but there are weaknesses in addressing the racial disparity and it's not the parents' fault. Effective schools set up an environment where most kids reach their potential."

Obgu's theory did find some support among black parents. Although they are in the minority, these parents believe he's pointed out a painful but powerful truth, and are happy to see it aired. "I already held his position before he did his research," says Nancy Jones, who has one child in the district and two who have graduated. "You can't get African-American parents to get involved and stay involved."

Jones says she is sick of the finger-pointing and blaming in her community, and was thrilled to see Ogbu highlight why this is detrimental. "We come from this point of view of slavery and victimhood and every problem is due to racist white people," she says. "That victim mentality is perpetrated by parents and they're doing their kids a disservice. ... My primary objective is not to hold someone accountable but to close the achievement gap."

Other parents also agree with Ogbu, Jones says, and will admit it privately, but publicly, it's too politically charged. "When you're in a public setting people are less apt to speak their mind if they think it's politically incorrect."

Sadly, Jones says, harsh criticism of Ogbu's Shaker Heights work has made any positive change nearly impossible. "Experts are telling the parents, 'The research wasn't good,' and, 'Disregard him,'" she says. "Besides, the parents' gut instinct tells them the district is at fault. When you have that many academics trashing him, it's easy to write off his conclusions. I'm having my doubts his work is going to motivate African-American parents and kids."

A SELF-PROCLAIMED Muslim barbarian shouted his contempt for his judges yesterday at the start of a racially-charged trial in Paris. He is accused, with 26 others, of torturing and murdering a young Jewish man.

Youssouf Fofana (28) -- who led a gang of youths from an immigrant housing estate -- swaggered into court and shouted "Allah will conquer" as the court began hearing a case that horrified France in 2006.

Mr Fofana and most of his alleged accomplices have admitted their roles in the kidnapping of Ilan Halimi (23), an assistant in a Paris telephone shop, who was held for ransom for 24 days.

Fofana -- whose parents came to France from Ivory Coast -- denies killing the victim, who was tied up in a cellar and tortured with acid, cigarettes and knives. He died in an ambulance after Mr Fofana dumped him by a railway line and allegedly set him alight.

The crime symbolised the violent anti-Semitic culture among many youths on the immigrant estates. It shocked France because many residents, including parents of gang members, were alleged to have been aware that Mr Halimi was being held. Some allegedly took turns in guarding the captive for a few euro.

Half the defendants, mainly teenagers at the time, face charges of failing to render assistance or alert police.

The trial proceeded in camera because two of the accused were minors in 2006, including Emma (19), of Iranian background, who is alleged to have lured Mr Halimi to his doom by visiting his shop and inviting him on a date.

Ruth Halimi, the victim's mother, accused the police of bungling the inquiry. She attacked the government -- including Nicolas Sarkozy, then the Interior Minister -- for playing down its anti-Semitic aspect.

After thousands demonstrated, Mr Sarkozy promised Jewish leaders that everything would be done to bring all those involved to justice.

Mr Fofana faces life imprisonment if convicted of kidnapping, torture and murder, aggravated by anti-Semitic motives, a specific charge in French law.

Mrs Halimi sat praying in court as Mr Fofana, bearded and in a white tracksuit, grinned at her and jokingly told the judges that his name was "Arabs African revolt barbarian Salafist army". Salafism is a fundamentalist movement espoused by many young immigrant radicals.
